Incredible-looking display, but I ultimately had to return it. The auto brightness limiting (ABL) was far too aggressive in bright scenes for me. I purchased this as a gaming TV for myself, and I play a lot of bright games in SDR. SDR content is already a bit dimmer on this display, but fine if you're watching in a dark room. The ABL, however, would cause the display to get even dimmer and make lighting feel inconsistent whenever I'd pan the camera over bright light sources or move my character into well-lit areas. You can turn down the OLED pixel brightness and contrast to help mitigate this, but the display ended up feeling even dimmer, and whites didn't have as much pop. I don't mind tinkering with settings, but I quickly realized I was never going to be truly happy with the results. HDR content is plenty bright but is still affected by ABL. Lighting again felt inconsistent, and the auto-dimming was very distracting. I'd be curious to see how bright the G4 can get without triggering this feature, but paying almost double the price to potentially fix my complaint seems like a bit much. Ultimately, I love how OLEDs look and still recommend this display if you know you won't be sensitive to ABL. Personally, I think I'll downgrade to a mini LED TV instead so I can get decent contrast but maintain brightness with little to no limiting. I'm sure in a few years the LG C series OLEDs will iron out this annoyance, but for now, it's just not a good fit for me.

The TV itself (a LG OLED 65C4) was and is fantastic. Excellent clarity, the blacks are very deep and crisp as usual. The new OS is also outstanding once you get used to the new layout. The service from BestBuy could be smoother though. I purchased the extra "Haul Away" service and they came as scheduled, unboxed the new TV and took back the old one. They asked me to hold on to the empty box for the new TV for 30 days in case it needed to be returned. At the 30 day mark, I called to have someone come back to pick up the empty box as promised (it won't fit into my car), and was told they do not do this, After a few difficult rounds of discussion, they finally did agree to come back for the box. But I wasn't finished. I noticed that the "My BestBuy" rewards points were not yet credited and asked when that would happen. I was told that because I selected financing, there would be no points. But I never selected financing, I never finance anything so had to call another department to straighten that out. As of this writing, that action is still pending. In summary, a great product but the after sales service could improve...alot..and needs to to keep my business in the future.

I have bought a couple of flat screen tvs, all from BestBuy, since 2013. Over time, I have seen the technology advance but the shelf life of these tvs have deteriorated in that same time period. These tvs have a shelf life of 3-5 years regardless of price. Understand that before you purchase. As far as this tv, it currently has the best picture I have seen in a flat screen tv but as the title says, give it time… my last tv just crashed after three years. I purchased this tv last month but let’s see if BestBuy removes my review as they have done in the past.

Although the TV screen viewing is excellent the technology is not up to the standard I had hoped. Still have trouble with LG / Spectrum saving my favorites in the Spectrum App. Still no easy channel switching (prev/last) and still haven't been able to set my Spectrum to open first.

For the concern regarding your app settings, we recommend checking if the Spectrum App has a "Startup Channel" toggle within its own settings menu to help it open to your preferred content more quickly. We would like to investigate the app's favorite-saving and navigation functionality further to ensure you have a seamless viewing experience. On the whole, it’s a good TV. But the remote that comes with it is ridiculous. It works not just with the usual licking, but by pointing that puts a cursor on the screen. The cursor comes many times a day, usually when I have not requested it. It is squirrelly , hard to control, and I have to click to get out of it. So it is a hassle many times a day. I don’t think I would buy it again.

Hello there, DavidS. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the Magic Remote cursor on your LG 65" Class C4 Series OLED evo 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. We understand that the pointer's activation frequency didn't meet your expectations and can be a hassle during your daily viewing.
To help make the remote more comfortable to use, you can adjust the pointer settings by going to Settings > General > System > Additional Settings > Pointer Options. From there, you can reduce the Tracking Speed to "Slow" or change the Pointer Size to "Small" to make it less distracting. Additionally, simply pressing any of the directional arrow buttons (Up, Down, Left, or Right) will immediately hide the cursor.

Ordered this tv with high expectations. Was disappointed that I couldn't get spectrum tv app on the tv without a Roku or other such device. On content we sampled, the picture was not vibrant. Looked washed out and not bright enough for our viewing. Returned it and replaced with a Samsung s90d. It has a much brighter picture, and more in line with my expectations for an OLED panel. And as others have mentioned the LG remote can be annoying too.

According to the supervisor, Best Buy didn't give me an Amazon $ 200 price match. Days later they dropped their price to $100 so I applied for a price match via chat. That was the last I heard of anything notifying me of successfully receiving a match. After that, the price fell by $ 200 still I was still denied a match after 2, 140-minute calls. No 60-day price protection. NO supervisor called as requested

Hi there. We understand the issues with Closed Captioning on your OLED65C4PUA units. Since you’ve already tried assistance from Geek Squad and LG Tech Support, a potential step is to ensure that the Closed Captioning settings are properly configured in the TV’s menu. Sometimes, a reset of the TV to factory settings might also resolve the issue. If you still experience difficulties, please send us a private message on Social Media @LGUSSupport, and our team will be happy to provide further support. We deeply appreciate your feedback and patience, and we’re committed to resolving this for you. —Avril

About once a week the TV will drop the Wifi and then i will have to go to settings and re- enter the wifi pass word again. And as today the tv will not show my local antenna. Local antenna was on yesterday but not today, just a black screen. Connect my small tv to the cable and local channels came across great. Not even a month old.

Its a nice TV should be 4 stars except for the aggressive auto dimming that makes it look like if the tv is failing as it can look like a flickering issue. The specs are nice its plenty brighter than last years model it has great gaming (game mode turns off dim setting). Movies look good but again the auto dim feature is aggressive and turning it off affects the picture so more time calibrating is required or live with this issue. For this reason I would recommend last years model C3 if the tv is in a dark room, if its a living room this would be better. Xbox does have a issue losing audio at times its a known issue that requires the tv to be force reset (button by the stand or unplug) in order for the HDMI handshake to detect it again. PS5 works fine no issues experienced.

We bought an LG OLED TV in 2016 when they first came out and had it for 8yrs and loved it. It finally started having issues recently so we replaced it with it's predecessor. After one week of making several fine tunes and adjustments to it we decided because of Best Buy's generous return policy to try a different tv. And we did, and we love our new Sony Bravia 8.

The sound quality is terrible. It is very loud and has a squelchy type sound to it. If we’d heard the sound quality, we’d found a different tv.
