We finally decided to upgrade from an eight year old Samsung UHD tv to something with the latest technology. After a bunch research and talking to the Best Buy associate for two hours, we decided to give LG OLED a try. Key factors we considered was the five year warranty of LG for this model for peace of mind regarding burning even though that is not more of an issue in recent years, the new brightness of this model is amazing, the gaming features, and the Dolby Vision capability is breath taking. The OLED blacks did not disappoint. That being said here comes a few issue to be aware: 1. This may be bad luck but the first tv we got was damage out the box, had two inch line right in the middle of screen. We exchange it right away second one no issue so far. 2. Tv comes without a stand. Not everyone can or wants to mount their tv to their wall. I feel LG and employees should have more clear warning on this before buying. Then you're force to buy a $100 tv stand on a $3,000 tv is outrageous. 3. The UI is ok and easy to use but LG wants to collect your life and then some in their privacy policy this made me a little bit uncomfortable. Remote is also ok and I did like the pointer feature comes handy sometimes. 4. There is still something weird going on with HDR that supposedly was fixed in the last update and only in Film-maker mode. 5. Gaming looks amazing. 6. The price is very steep although has come down a bit since we bought it. If you're in a rush to have the latest then is still one the best options out there, if you're not in a rush I would wait for the price to come down even further or go for C5 which is almost half the price and the only downside is a lower brightness and the lack of five year warranty on the oled screen.

Hi there. Thank you for sharing your experience with your LG 65" Class G5 Series OLED evo AI 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. We understand your inquiry regarding the wall-mount design, the initial unit damage, and the HDR settings in Filmmaker Mode. We appreciate your feedback on the picture quality and gaming performance. To address the HDR concerns, we recommend checking for the latest firmware update in your TV settings to ensure all recent display enhancements are applied. Regarding the stand, the G series is specifically designed for a flush-to-wall aesthetic, and we appreciate your input on how this is communicated.

The 3 stars are not for the TV itself...Nothing wrong with the TV I'm sure, however BestBuy and LG really need to be a lot clearer in the product description that the G5 DOES NOT have a stand included with it. It ONLY comes packaged with hardware for a wall mount. I ordered the 65" G5 at the end of October during the early Black Friday deal, got it delivered, was super excited to set it up. Got it out of the box and... no stand. I had to order the stand separately from another retailer and even then it was on backorder from LG. Not even available on LG's website, they were waiting for them to come in as well. So, I carefully repackaged the TV so it wouldn't get damaged while I wait for the stand to come in and THEN get shipped from NY. Very frustrating that it wasn't really stated that there was no stand included when the TV was purchased.

Hello there, BrianK. Thank you for sharing your experience with the LG - 65" Class G5 Series OLED evo AI 4K UHD Smart webOS TV. We understand your inquiry regarding the stand for this model. The G-Series is specifically crafted with our One Wall Design for a flush mount and includes the wall bracket in the box; however, the desktop stand is sold separately for those who prefer that setup. We appreciate your feedback regarding the product description clarity.

I haven't been able to watch this tv since it didn't come with a stand and the LG stand is unavailable everywhere I have looked. I think it is sad that LG is promoting the sale of this tv without providing the stand with it or at least having the production of the stand meet the demand. I would not recommend buying this tv until LG gets their production in order.

I upgraded from the 65inch G2 to this 65" G5 and I regret it. The TV is supposed to be brighter but it doesnt feel like it. In any HDR or Dolby vision content its still dark with no way to adjust the brightness. SDR content though looks amazing because you can turn up the brightness. Also this is a brand new generation, with upgraded processor etc, and somehow the WEBOS interface is actually more sluggish, especially with a PC connected and gaming optimizer enabled. Try to go into the menus and it sometimes takes 30-45 seconds for the menu screens to update when you try to navigate through them. The AI functionality on this tv is kinda worthless. It mostly just finds you webresults anytime you try to ask it to do anything. And the AI picture modes dont seem to look any better or make any difference. Its a decent tv if you dont already have an OLD, but if you already have one, this isnt an upgrade despite the hype... Also once again, theyve removed DTS audio support

Hello there. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand your inquiry regarding the brightness levels, interface performance, and audio support on your LG 65" Class G5 Series OLED evo AI 4K UHD Smart webOS TV (2025). We understand that as a returning LG OLED owner, you are looking for a significant performance upgrade compared to your previous model. To help improve the HDR and Dolby Vision experience, we recommend ensuring that the Dynamic Tone Mapping is set to On within the Brightness settings, as this adjusts the picture based on the scene's brightness. Regarding the interface speed while gaming, please ensure the Game Optimizer dashboard is updated to the latest version via the TV's software update menu to optimize system resources. We want to ensure your transition to this new generation of OLED technology meets the high standards you expect from our G-Series.

Very difficult to learn how to use this tv. Still don’t know everything new about it. Would have liked help learning the new features. The info on line was not helpful. It was an expensive item . You should have sent someone to explain how to use it!☹️
