The LG dryer is good so far, however when I reversed the door hinge on the dryer it does not line up well with the latch and closes/opens much harder. I don't know about the reliability yet. I also ordered the matching washer from Best Buy because they had the earliest delivery date, which ended up not being the case, The 1st appointment they showed up to install the washer, but had no washer! The 2nd appointment they installed it but didn't level it properly. The dryer had to be delivered at a later date. On the morning of the dryer appointment they confirmed they would be there in the time window only to be later notified I would have to reschedule, I called to complain and was assigned a case number, but never heard back from Best Buy. The dryer was delivered and installed on the 4th appointment by a subcontracted Best Buy professional plumber. However, I went down in the basement about a week later and noticed a smell and found the dryer vent pipe from the main level was no longer connected to the outdoor vent!
Good product. Installation was smooth and seemless

Dryer drys well but stacked on a washer makes it hard to read the dark letters on black buttons.

Only 4 stars as owners manual as furnished is vague. A website in the given pamphlet for download of a complete owners manual in pdf, doesn't list one and at the bottom of the web site, a cryptic comment of "SOME DOCUMENTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED". The Wi Fi turns out to be a joke. Continuous attempts to hook up to the system produced multiple system I.D.'s, log on, but machine failure at system acquirement. L.G. Tech support was a joke. Zip, no help at all. Good thing its real usage would have been mostly for communication with LG for mechanical/system problems. Think about it. Who would set up a load of laundry to dry and then go out and use the wi fi to start it when all you have to do is press a button while standing there. I do admit though that after almost a month of use it is both quite and performs well. With some playfull useage of the controls a feel for the machine is developing.

First off I do really like this dryer and have only had this dryer hooked up for a week now and have run it through its paces. The dryer does not dry a King Size comforter completely (very short new straight vent hose). There were lots of wet spots on it after an hour of drying. Then I put it on a 30 minute very hot and it still had some wet spots and the dryer started to smell very hot. So back to the laundromat for it. Having said that when I wash a normal load it does a very good job drying them, and is very quiet and balanced. I tried the steam cycle and its more of a gimmick than anything but seemed to work. All in all I am happy with it doing a lot better job drying clothes than my old Samsung ever did. I did purchase the LG 3 year premium care plan so I won't have any issues to pay for for the next 4 years

So far so good with this dryer. Controls are intuitive and easy. A matter of taste - I dont love the greenish-hue of the interior light. Not a big deal. I think it might be leaking (its a steam dryer) so the water hookup might not have been done well - will let you know. There have been reports that the sensor drying was off but so far my stuff has been dried properly. The real test for me will come with time. My prior LG dryer last 13 years and you cant beat that. Hopefully this will do the same.

It is a nice dryer. Two negative things so far. First, the display text is not backlit. We had to use White-Out to mark the locations of various features. (That was pretty “cheap” of LG not to install a fully backlit panel to enhance visibility.) I wish the LG engineers would consider spending another $.10 to make the text backlit as well. The second observation, which I consider as a negative, is that when the dryer is running, and it needs more heat from the gas line, you can actually hear the gash “rush” into the machine. Our previous model LG did not make the noise. Perhaps it is part of Energy Star or something. Otherwise, it is running well and doing a good job.

Very quiet. Dries all types of fabrics well. However, I didn’t rate it a five star because on some loads I needed to change it from ‘normal dry’ to ‘very dry’, as it appears the sensor doesn’t accurately measure the dryness.

I've had the LG Thinq for a few weeks and love the quiet wash/dry and how much clothes I can do in a load. I'm having trouble connecting them to the internet so not using at their full potential right now unfortunately. I used the help chat which was not very helpful. Either way, it works well but haven't figured out all the bells and whistles yet.

The LG gas dryer is easy to use and offers a great range of functions, making everyday laundry feel simple and efficient. Most cycles work really well, but the delicate setting doesn’t dry clothes as thoroughly as I’d like. My only other gripe is the lint trap design—when you pull it out to clean, some lint slips off and falls back inside the dryer. Overall, still a solid and reliable appliance with just a couple of quirks.

Only had it about 6 weeks but so far it's working well. It has a large capacity and dries very well. It's nice that it can tell you when it's done so the clothes don't sit and get wrinkled.
Great Washer/Dryer Combo - especially like the dryer (as it dries very quickly compared to replaced model. Washer definitely wrings out clothes and says on dry time. My husband had to convert to LP Gas (reason for 4 Stars) - not much help from manufacturer or Best Buy with numerous phone calls. Called local repairman who was more than happy to explain what needed to be done & what needed to be purchased. Do NOT use Thin IQ Technology - so therefore, cannot comment on these specifications. Was also able to purchase at a great price - but had to wait 2 months for delivery (another reason for 4 stars).

Purchase this dryer to replace old GE dryer. Similar build and features and easy to install. Took a while to figure out correct settings to assure everything fully dries but it’s been better. The WiFi feature is nice but haven’t really found too useful.

Satisfied after using this dryer for 1 year. Dries load of clothes in about 40 minutes on high heat. Clothes come out slightly damp sometimes when using low heat, even when selecting maximum dry. Average noise. Overall, I recommend.

It does a very good job of drying clothes, and the steam feature to prevent wrinkles is nice, but the whole device is more complicated than it needs to be, with more than 50 possible settings. And I don't need it to connect to the internet so I can control it via an app. Why would I want to start/stop it remotely if I have to be present to load/unload it?

Works well and is quiet which is a huge plus. The sensor dry seems to leave clothes a little bit damp but my last dryer did the same. Overall happy with this dryer.

So far it’s operating well. Fairly easy to operate though I wish printed instructions were included, rather than having to go online for operating instructions. I’m a old school guy! I purchased pedestals and if I hadn’t gotten one free, I wouldn’t have purchased them. One pedestal with no electronics cost 30% of the cost of a sophisticated appliance. They shouldn’t be over $100.00.

Have only had the washer and dryer for 2 weeks. Yet to use any of the steam functions. Had an LG washer and dryer previously with no issues so expecting more of the same. Still getting used to all the different features. Very quiet. Wish the hard copy owners manual that comes with the washer had more info so you wouldn’t have to download an additional manual that has more information. Overall very happy with our purchase.

I've been using my new dryer for 2 months, and I'm still learning the settings. It seems like some drying cycles take a long time, and not all the items are dry at the end. I would have expected the fancy new technology to be able to detect this and run until everything was dry. I appreciate having the "bedding" cycle. And I do love the Steam Fresh function, which helps get wrinkles out of clothes that don't need a full wash and dry.
