Questions & Answers
How much is the lg subscription and gallery each month and is that mandatory
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareThere is a subscription for the LG 83" Class W6 Series OLED evo AI 4K Smart webOS TV with Wallpaper Design, True Wireless Video & Audio Transfer (2026), Model # OLED83W6PUA, but is it is entirely optional. The W6 series is a 2026 model running webOS 26, it utilizes LG's integrated LG Gallery+ system (which combines the legacy Art Gallery app and Always Ready ambient screensaver modes). The service is split into a free base tier and a paid premium tier. If you want to fully maximize the TV's "Wallpaper" design layout, LG offers a premium digital art subscription through webOS Pay. You do not need to pay anything to use the core functionality of the TV's wallpaper mode. Out of the box, the free tier gives you about 100 curated visual pieces, including select famous paintings, photography, and nature landscapes, the ability to upload and display your own pictures using the LG ThinQ mobile app or by linking a Google Photos account, and an ambient dashboard showing the time, local weather updates, customized calendar schedules, and connected smart home IoT device status. The cost is $5.00 per month, which typically includes a 1-to-3 month free trial during initial setup. This premier tier unlocks a rotating catalog of over 4,500 to 5,000 high-resolution pieces sourced from global partner museums like The Met and the National Gallery London, and grants you access to built-in generative AI tools (powered by Google Gemini) that allow you to create completely custom background imagery using text credits. You can manage, preview, or subscribe to the platform at any time by pressing the Home button on your Magic Remote and selecting the LG Gallery+ app dashboard...^Ivan.
Does the panel have a removable electric cord?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareHi, there! Thank you for sharing your question with us about the LG TV (OLED83W6PUA). No, the main display panel does not have a user‑removable electric cord. The panel receives power through the Zero Connect cable that links it to the Zero Connect Box, which serves as the system’s power and signal hub. If I want to install a Sonos Arc Ultra Soundbar right below the TV, am I able to install the Zero Connect Box into a recessed media box behind the TV so I can keep the cable for the soundbar concealed?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareThe Zero Connect Box for the LG 83" Class W6 Series OLED evo AI 4K Smart webOS TV with Wallpaper Design, True Wireless Video & Audio Transfer (2026), Model # OLED83W6PUA, cannot be installed inside a recessed media box directly behind the TV. Because the box transmits a high-frequency wireless signal to the television, encasing it inside a wall or a metal cabinet will shield the signal, causing the screen to go blank or not display at all. For optimal signal strength, the Zero Connect Box should have a clear, line-of-sight path to the TV. It should also be installed at a height lower than the TV’s wireless receiver. You can place it on an open piece of furniture in the same room, such as a coffee table, bookshelf, or a side unit, within a range of up to 30 feet depending on the angle...^Ivan.
There are several images of this TV being mounted a glass surface.. with no power cable (as described in the installation manual). I do see some translucent - stripes-(?) on the glass mounting surface. How is pwr being applied?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareHi there, John! Thank you for sharing your question to us about the LG TV (OLED83W6PUA). This model uses LG’s Zero‑Gap Wallpaper design, which means the display panel mounts flush to the wall or glass surface while the power and all electronics are housed in the separate AV Box (soundbar/control unit). The translucent stripes you’re seeing in photos are adhesive mounting sheets, not power lines. The TV panel itself does not receive power directly through the glass; instead, a thin, flexible ribbon cable runs from the panel to the AV Box, which supplies both power and signal. How is the display portion powered? I understand the "connectivity" is wireless (HDMI, audio, etc..) But the display still requires a power source. Are there transparent conductor strips involved and if so, what are these conductor connected to?
Answered by LG Digital Customer CareIf only wireless power were available! While the LG 83-inch Class LG OLED evo AI W6 4K Smart TV 2026 with Wallpaper Design and Supplied Flush Wall Mount, Model # OLED83W6PUA, uses LG's "True Wireless" Zero Connect technology to transmit 4K video and audio signals completely wirelessly over a distance of up to 30 feet, the hardware itself is not battery-powered or fully wireless. The TV panel has a single, ultra-thin power cord that runs directly from the 9mm wallpaper display panel into a standard AC 120V wall outlet, and the wireless Zero Connect Box requires its own separate connection to a power outlet...^Ivan.
