I was looking for an OLED monitor that would allow me to get the most out of my RTX 4080. I love this monitor. The great: Great picture quality, W-OLED panel. 240hz 4k display, games like Final Fantasy Remake/Rebirth easily do 4k 120hz and they look amazing. The switching to the 1080p mode to play games like Counter Strike 2 is extremely useful at 480hz. There's even a switch to allow you to shrink the screen from 32" to 27" or 24". While certain textures do not look great in this mode it is hardly noticeable in game. The only downsides of this monitor are the following: 1. There is a button on the monitor to allow you to switch between the 2 modes of 4k and 1080p. I will say that it is rare that you do not need to restart your computer for things to work properly. It's not deal breaking but it is a little bit annoying. Sometimes it does work. Sometimes your monitor turns into a generic monitor with a max refresh rate of 120hz and then switching back to 4k you generally have to reboot as well. 2. I have the 48" version of this monitor and it's great with amazing built in speakers. I thought I could enjoy the same with the 32" version. I was wrong. This monitor does have built in speakers but there's very little bass in the sound. I still have to rely on a soundbar to get sound outside of headphones. 3. This is both a positive and a negative. There's a USB-C that works great to outputting from my thunderbolt on my laptop. There's 2 USB-A ports. But there is no USB downstream connection. So you cannot daisy chain the USB ports with other monitors to utilize the USB ports on the monitor itself. I love this monitor for desk gaming. Hopefully this review helps someone decide if it is for them or not.

After years of gaming on a TV, the LG 32GX870A is my first dedicated monitor and the difference is absolutely mind-blowing. Paired with the PS5 Pro, this display has completely transformed the way I experience games. The picture quality is stunning. Games like Ghost of Tsushima, Death Stranding, Black Myth: Wukong, and God of War look incredibly cinematic, with deep contrast, rich detail, and smooth performance that brings every world to life. Even fast-paced titles like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater feel ultra-responsive thanks to the monitor’s low input lag and high refresh rate. HDR performance really stands out here ,black levels are deep and inky, and colors pop with just the right balance of vibrancy and realism. The overall sharpness and clarity make even small textures and lighting effects feel immersive. If you’re used to gaming on a TV, switching to this monitor is a game-changer. It’s sleek, responsive, and built to show off what modern consoles are capable of. Easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made to my setup.

This LG 32-inch OLED is arguably the most versatile monitor currently on the market. It solves the dilemma of choosing between "resolution" and "speed" by giving you both. While the matte coating and lower brightness might deter some purists, the dual-mode feature is a genuine game-changer.
