After watching homeless vet Duffy Duffield (Frank Grillo) handle himself in a bar brawl, huckstering ex-con Max Bomer (Mekhi Phifer) started backing him in underground fights. Winning big, they headed to Los Angeles in search of the big time... but as shady promoter Sage Murphy (Dermot Mulroney) started leasing out the soldier as gangland muscle, they might not be able to find an out.
