The mouse was great when it worked. Then, about 5 months after I purchased it, I started having problems with double clicking and the left and right mouse buttons wouldn't work at all some times. It happened after the return period so I'm not even going to bother trying to return it. It is a shame because when it works it is a great mouse and has all the features I want.

Hi David, Very sorry to hear about the issues you're having with the G502 HERO SE Wired Gaming Mouse. Fortunately, the G502 does have a 2-year limited hardware manufacturer's warranty. You can file a warranty claim here https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360024914754-Warranty-G502-HERO. In the interim, you may need a firmware update which you can find out by downloading Logitech's G Hub software (https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133). G Hub not only will allow you to update the firmware for your G502, but it will also let you customize your mouse's settings---RGB, mapping, DPI. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well. Thank you for choosing Logitech. - Richard from Logitech

On the second day of owning it the m6 button stopped working (button where your thumb is) which is fine everything hiccups every now and then so I did all of the basic fixes such as replugging it in, turn computer off and on, reinstall drivers and software, etc etc. None of it worked. So I looked to see what other people did and none of their fixes worked. So I looked at Logitech's support forum and nothing worked. So I looked through FAQ spec page of all of their products for something (which was terrible) and nothing there worked in fact all of what the support did was make my computer go from seeing the mouse to 'Hid complainant mouse' and the app Logitech wants you to download with it was absolutely terrible, it couldn't even recogize the mouse before tech support make it look like a generic one and it was so user unfriendly I couldn't even really do anything on it anyways. If it worked it would be a decent buy, the software/troubleshooting is the only thing I can gripe about, the quality is decent, it has a smooth scrolling option that is nice when you're going down long pages or lists, fits my hand decently, has weights and easy way to adjust DPI, but it doesn't work properly, and given that I found others having my issue from years ago also saying how buggy and bad the app is and it's still here, from Logitech no less is really not encouraging a repeat customer and I'd go out on a limb if you're going out of your way to get extra buttons/software, you want to use those things and not just buy a 9 dollar actually generic mouse.
Overall the build quality is good. It seems to be made with high quality materials and has some weight to it. It glides across a typical mouse pad very well with no issues. It is a bit on the smaller size for those with larger hands. All of this could be looked over if it wasn't for the horrendous software that you install to use this... Sadly I saw nothing but issues with the Logitech G Hub software. It is probably the worst peripheral management software I have ever used. Custom profiles never switched over, it constantly ignored changes and tweaks that I made, and my sensitivity would randomly change incessantly. No amount of tinkering and troubleshooting would work. I even tried different USB ports and complete reinstallation. I know I am in the minority due to the overwhelming love of this mouse by the gaming community. However, the software issues alone are enough for me to just look for something else. I will be returning as soon as I possibly can.

Before I bought this mouse, I had been using a $10-15 GE mouse I got 10 years ago. It started to stop working randomly lately, so I figured I would upgrade. I am not pleased with this mouse at all. Problem number 1, the physical mouse. It has a lot of buttons that are unnecessary in the wrong places that are easy to hit by mistake when you are playing a game. I've accidentally changed the DPI many times just even doing a single click. The other part of the problem with the mouse is the scroll wheel/middle button. I often accidentally scroll when trying to push down the wheel, which means I change weapons when I am trying to ping or do something else. The back/forward buttons are a bit annoying to use as well for regular browsing. Now besides these, the physical mouse is comfortable to use and responsive, but I don't know why they thought this mouse is good for gaming. On to the software. So you might ask if I have trouble accidentally hitting a DPI change key, why not just disable the button on the mouse? Well I tried that, by using the Logitech software. Unfortunately, it seems to go back on constantly. Then there is the annoying lighting, which even if you turn it off in the software, still goes on when you turn on and off your computer. The only reason I am not giving it a 1 is because it works fine for very basic stuff, but why would you get a gaming mouse then? No clue how the rating got so high.

Hi we're sorry to see you're unsatisfied with the G502 HERO Wired Gaming Mouse. The nice thing about Logitech G, is they have a huge selection of gaming mice to suit every need. since you didn't like all the buttons on the G502, check out the G703 Wireless Gaming mouse! It has the same HERO 25K sensor, light weight, and has about 5 buttons on it. Through G Hub, you can also disable any buttons you're not using, so you don't accidentally push something in game. Hope that helps!

I bought this mouse to replace an ailing SteelSeries Rival 3, whose left mouse button is starting to fail. The Logitech G502 works fine as a mouse (I especially liked the speedy scroll wheel), though the DPI button's "color change upon DPI change" feature seemed to work inconsistently. Logitech's G Hub software, though not required for the mouse to work, was terrible for me. Its desktop notifications frequently flickered like an old analog monitor, especially when making DPI changes, and even one or two days after buying the mouse, the software occasionally took forever to start up if it did so at all. I was heavily critical of my SteelSeries Rival 3 since often my computer wouldn't even acknowledge its existence upon startup unless I unplugged and replugged the mouse, but one thing it did do properly was making its companion red-green-blue lighting software simple and convenient to use. I had a worse experience customizing my Logitech G502 mouse's RGB zones with Logitech's software since it rarely seemed to retain my specific preferences (e.g, one zone lighting up one way and another zone lighting up a different way or turned off entirely, which didn't work properly on my software and resulted in unwanted lighting assignments).

For a lot of Mac owners G Hub does not install correctly. I had to scour the internet to find a solution. Without the software, the extra buttons are useless outside of what's pre-programmed out of the box. The solution that worked for me is here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LogitechG/comments/kv53ht/how_to_fix_logitech_g_hub_installer_stuck_at/ Also, I wanted to 'program' the scroll wheel to zoom in recording software I'm using and G Hub does not let me program the scroll wheel so I found an app called USB Overdrive which lets me customize the wheel and most of the buttons to almost anything. www.usboverdrive.com The mouse is pretty good for the sale price of $40. The scroll wheel feels a little weird and its loud. The buttons are a bit more clicky than I prefer. I don't have big hand by any stretch and this mouse feels small. But now that I have it functioning pretty close to what I want, I'm lazy to bring it back and try another mouse along with potentially new problems.

I was initially excited to own this mouse. I heard extremely good reviews. However, the description provided by Logitech is extremely misleading, there arenot 11 programmable buttons, only 9. The color options in the Logitech GHub (the programming interface) are horrendous. It provides a color wheel to choose from, but the colors reflected by the mouse do match what is on screen. I have a baby pink, black and white setup, and the color on my mouse is purple not pink. I have tried multiple times to match the colors of my LED strip and Razer Keyboard, but it will not do it. On top of this, my mouse stops working! The Logitech GHub completely crashes and will not allow an uninstall. It is just sitting on my hard drive. I can not install a new version or delete the old one. The buttons on my mouse have been reversed. The right click is now the primary click and the middle button (scroll wheel) is now the secondary. The left button no longer works. I have uninstalled drivers, reinstalled, restarted and tried the GHub again, and nothing works. I will be returning this mouse in favor of Razer. Thank goodness I purchased the protection plan. It conveniently stops working 2 days after the return period.

why so many buttons on a mouse? The two on the side should NOT be so low on the mouse. keep pressing one or the other or even both while using it and its annoying. going back and forth between pages on sites and weapons in games in less than 1 second. I really like the mouse though.

So I bought this exactly a year ago for the same price it is now, that being $34.99 instead of the usual $79.99. I suppose it is worth the relatively low price, however, I have recently started having issues with the mouse. The underlying issue is that recently the mouse has stopped registering some of my inputs for the left mouse button AND the right mouse button. For example, I'll be playing Apex Legends and I'll be able to shoot for a bit, but then I'll randomly stop shooting even though I'm literally holding down the left mouse button. I don't understand why it's having this issue only a year after purchase, and I take great care of my own electronics, so I know that I'm not the issue. I do know that Logitech G Hub is a bit finicky with some of its settings, but it seems alright. Another friend of mine was also having the same issues a while back whenever he owned this exact mouse, but we could still be the "exception to the rule", or the outliers. Overall, the mouse itself is fine, and having the ability to use RGB for several games is neat. It has DPI buttons and two side buttons for standard gameplay. The mouse also feels fine to use for gaming or work. Another thing, though; I've had issues with Logitech products before and I have just recently moved over to SteelSeries products in hopes that they provide much higher quality and product lifetime than Logitech products. I just felt the need to write a review for this mouse specifically so other people don't experience what I've had to go through with Logitech products in general. Obviously, if you want a cheap gaming mouse that'll last you a year, then go ahead and buy this, I suppose. I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase a warranty with it so you can easily replace it a year down the road since it most likely won't hold up for the entire two-year warranty.

I came in to replace my computer mouse with reasonable price. Overall not impressed with the product. Dpi feels inconsistant and it feels fragile. even with all the added wieghts provided in packaging it still feels too light. No fault or dig at best buy, the product just isn't what I thought it was.

This was to replace a recently purchased Razer Basilisk v2, which (2 of them) were junk! And grotesque junk given the $80 price tag for such fragile constantly breaking mice. I then bought this G502 Hero wired, and the SCROLL WHEEL IS GARBAGE. It scrolls so hard it is stupid...I am utterly shocked Logitech actually sent the product out the door with such overboard drag, and poor quality feel. The other problem is that the palm area for large hands is too low sitting, which throws everything off so much that I have to hold the mouse quite uniquely just go be able to game while using the two left side thumb buttons. After 24 hours of frustration with the fit and ridiculous drag on that scroll wheel, OFF it went back to Best Buy unfortunately (my first return to them ever that I can think of). I ended up landing on the Amazon PICTEK for $18? I NEVER, and repeat, NEVER buy cheap junk...always pay way more for higher end stuff than I probably should, BUT, I read some great reviews of this on gaming sites, went to Amazon and read some reviews, and this thing ROCKS!?!?! PERFECT medium scroll wheel feel. Higher back palm area, so it fits better in a larger/longer hand? Thumb buttons due to the overall design are CAKE to manipulate, WHILE moving and aiming in high speed FPS gaming, and to my shock it even came with lighting effects, which I didn't expect to see in such a cost effective price!? REALLY great mouse, and amazing mouse for the price. NEGATIVE? Only thing I noticed was that the G502 slides like glass over the cloth/material/neoprene style mouse pads vs this one, which has a little more drag. BUT, I have zero issue with it when gaming...it's just something I noticed after being spoiled with how well the G502 slides (again, like GLASS, really nice feel to the slid, but that was it). Hope this helps with selecting a proper mouse

Decent mouse. I like that the weight is adjustable. Unfortunately, the activation point of the right mouse button acts up and it frequently double-clicks itself (or un-clicks) randomly. It wasn't even heavily used (I used a Zowie for years playing CS:GO and never had any issues with any of the buttons). Would not recommend this product because to me that's a sign of poor manufacturing quality. For that reason, this one got thrown in the closet as a backup to my backup mouse and I replaced it with the G Pro Wireless.

Some of the side buttons didnt work/un-programmable. Liked the way it felt in the hand but while playing games it would shoot/discharge weapon without me even touching the mouse. Messed with settings and still had the problem. Exchanged it at Best Buy for a Razor Deathadder mouse - was a little more expensive 10$ but worth it - Works great - no issues.

Initially this was a nice mouse to use, however within a year it developed issues with maintaining holding down a mouse click on both the left and right mouse buttons. For example, click and hold to move a document from one folder to another may simply not work because the "hold" will let go while you are trying to drag a file (or play a game), even though you are firmly holding the button down. I have purchased 4 of these for my household (wife, son, my game comp, my work comp) and each one is having the same issue. A search online also shows this to be a common issue. I'd stay away from this mouse unless you never use click and hold.

Hey there GTRPLYR79, I'm sorry to hear you had some issues with your G502. I would recommend cleaning out the inside of the mouse with a can of compressed air or a q tip, as sometimes dirt and dust accumulation on the switches can cause this issue. I would also recommend contacting us via our support site for warranty information. -Weston from Logitech.

I'm a huge, long-time Logitech user and fan. I love Logitech products. That being said, I am extremely disappointed in this mouse. Now I will admit that there may be a problem with my computer but I am doubting that, since my two other wireless Logitech mice work perfectly fine. Periodically, this G502 stops working. For no apparent reason the mouse will just cease to function and the only way to get it back is to restart the PC. Other than that, it takes some getting used to with the DPI settings and what its myriad of buttons do. For gaming I'm at odds with it. I have a "meh" emotion towards the G502 and my older, chunkier wireless Performance MX mouse does the job quite well. In fact at the time of this writing, I am using that Performance MX mouse because the G502 shut itself off again. I think Logitech missed the mark with this one.

The mouse hardware is 4-stars, but feels flimsy, plastic-y, and makes far too much noise. Logitech's G Hub software is ZERO stars. It crashes constantly on both Windows PCs and MacOS. When it does work, it is very slow to startup, even on premium hardware. And it updates itself, requiring a restart, almost every day which is super annoying. Lastly, Logitech's customer service and support team are abysmal and they might as well be non-existent. There's only one reason this mouse is so popular: It's one of the better options in a sea of absolute TRASH.
