The build quality of the device is great, and being able to connect up to 3 devices simultaneously is a plus. Those are the only reasons I got this keyboard. The MX Keys' biggest competitor has better build quality and a much better typing experience - the Apple Magic Keyboard - which I would absolutely recommend over the MX Keys unless you need the multiple connections thing. (The Magic Keyboard works with all OS's). My biggest problem with this keyboard - and basically all Logitech's I've tried - is the terrible typing experience. The keys are mushy. Each key on the MX has a circular divot which serves zero purpose other than decreasing key travel (not good). Key layout isn't my favorite. I'm lucky to get 80 wpm on this keyboard or any Logitech keyboard with tons of added mistakes. I can comfortably hit 100+ wpm on most HP keyboards (including the really cheap ones) and I don't make nearly as many mistakes. There's just something about Logitech keyboards which make me type slower and less accurately. Your mileage may vary.

The keyboard was good to use, until the backlight turned on. The markings on the key get camouflaged with the white keys when the white backlights turn on. Had to return them. Attaching pictures, with and w/o backlighting

THE KEYBOARD HAS A GREAT TYPING FEEL AND IS EASY TO TYPE.......WHEN IT IS NOT FREEZING UP OR STUTTERING. THE SOFTWARE IS ABYSSMAL. I USE IF FOR WORK WITH COMPANY LAPTOP AND WITH MY PERSONAL LAPTOP. EVEN WHEN I AM ONLY USING IT FOR ONE DEVICE IS FREEZES UP AND TAKES MULTIPLE SECONDS TO GET BACK TO NORMAL. I TURN IT OFF FOR A FEW SECS AND TURN BACK ON...STILL FROZEN AND DELAYED MANY TIMES. I HAVE TRIED CHARGING IT TO HELP BUT IT GENEARLLY DOESN'T. SO MANY TIMES A DAY IT WILL JUST LOCK ON A LETTER THAN I AM TYPING AND IT STICKS AND TYPES 10 TO 50 KEY STROKES AND BACKSPACE WON'T STOP IT FOR AT LEAST 50 REPEATS OR MORE. THIS IS MY 3RD ONE AS I HAVE OWNED ONE OF THE MX KEYS AND BOUGHT 2 OF THE MX KEYS S BUT IT IS WORSE IF ANYTHING. I SEARCHED FOR AN ALTERNATE WITH A SIMILAR KEYBOARD TO NOT BUY THE 3RD ONE THOSE REVIEWS WERE BAD ALSO. I AM NO LONGER A FAN OF LOGITECH ANYTHING AND HOPE NEVER TO HAVE BUY ONE OF THEIR FLAWED PRODUCTS EVER AGAIN.

I had Logitech K800 keyboards for years. Loved them, except inevitably, one key would fail after 6-12 months. I paid extra for the BB warranty so I could just take the old one in and get a new one. Unfortunately, the K800 is no longer being manufactured AFAIK. Enter the Logitech MX Keys. It seems like a nice little sturdy keyboard, but after several weeks of use, I have several complaints. First of all, it is very difficult to see the keys without the backlighting enabled. The sales images make it look better than it is. The characters on the keys are medium gray against a black background. The backlighting works nicely to combat this, but you have to install their app to configure it, or the backlights shut off in an absurdly short period of time. And even with the app, you still cannot configure the lighting to stay on continuously. Second, Logi. replaced some very nice shortcut keys on the K800 with a set of keys that have dual functions. You have to hit Fn+ESC to switch between the actions. Okay, it works, but it's super annoying. Third- battery life is awful. My K800 would hold a charge for up to a month with me coding 8-10 hour days and backlighting enabled. This board has to charged every 3 or 4 days or you're in the dark, and again, without the backlighting, forget it. It's also $30+ more than the old K800. I almost returned it within the 15 day window BB provides for refund, but decided to stick with it. On the plus side, it has a sturdy feel and is nice on the fingers once you get used to it. But I probably won't be getting another logitech.

Hey! We sincerely apologize for the disappointment you've experienced with the MX Keys. We value your long-time trust in Logitech products, and feedback like yours helps us improve. We understand your frustrations with the key visibility, shortcut key changes, and battery life not meeting expectations compared to the K800.

This keyboard is a nice keyboard. I admit, I was expecting it to feel different, and if you like scissor style keyboards, then this keyboard may be for you! The main issue I have with it, is two things. Where I am used to a mechanical keyboard with raised, large keys, I know exactly where my fingers are and know how to hit the keys. I do a lot of coding, so being able to hit += and -+ and () [] and {} are very important to me. I am on my old keyboard now and able to hit them just about perfectly. Other than that, this keyboard lags like crazy. I have it on the 2.4ghz usb dongle and the darn thing is fully charged, yet when I first hit a key, it holds down the key for like 2 seconds and I get a stream of characters on my screeen like sssssssssssssssssssssssssss and then I have to backspace, and it will just randomly do this over and over and over again. Very disappointed. $100 was a lot of money for me, and I am using for it work, so I would love to be able to exchange this or return it and buy another keyboard. I would be willing to try another logitech keyboard, but not a wireless logitech, especially if it is anything like this keyboard. I would want larger keys. If anybody has any reccomendations for a higher quality wireless keyboard that doesn't lag when you press the keys and do the ssssssssssssssssssssssss thing then please reccomend me something wireless other than logitech. I have lost faith in this company's ability to produce a quality product for $100. In logitech's defense. my mom has a wireless logitech that runs off batteries (probably about 5-10 years old) its one of those ergonomic keyboard, but she has never had an issue, and I use it quite often, because we work in the same office together and I have never had an issue with that keyboard either. So my question is this... Why did they get the wireless technology correct 5-10 years ago on a $30-50 keyboard and on my brand new $110 keyboard, it lags? That's all I have to say. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

Love the keyboard feel but it works horribly on new Macs (Apple Silicon). It will kind of work, but any tweaks or adjustments will not work. It pairs fine over bluetooth with the Mac, but the Logi app won't even find it, and the Logi Web connect app doesn't work with Safari. So if you have a modern Mac, look elsewhere. No more logitech anything for me.

Great looking, fun to type on. Randomly and frequently after using this keyboard for ~6 months, it stops connecting to your system and will take a couple of key taps to reconnect. Not good for gaming. Doesn't matter if you use the dongle or bluetooth.

It is one of the best design keyboard from Logitech. The materials used to make it and very so good felt. However, I noticed the keyboard seems to be delay to connnect the computer after few minuties at the Windows login. I believe it the software bug that Logitech should consider a new firmware upgrade it. I is happening two of office keyboards.

Bought this when my old KB bit the dust. It looked nice in the store, but after getting it home and hooking it up: 1) the color of keys and backlighting in daylight makes the key ‘labels’ VERY difficult to discern. At night in a darkened room— OK. 2) LOUSY (as in non existent) instructions. NOT intuitive— always futzing with keys to figure out what they do.

Function is great, easily switch between ipad and mac. The feeling is subpar as in the keys are not very pleasant. There's also a considerable lag. Surely there are better options at this price point.

Everything is great except for backlighting sensor and the removal of the backlighting sensor adjustment option in settings that the previous firmware version had.

I don't like it because the backlit is dim, even at its highest setting. You also have to touch a key in order for the backlight to come on. With my old keyboard, all you had to do is hoover your hand over the keyboard and the backlight would come on.

Loses connection intermittently if connected via Bluetooth to a Windows 10 device while my older version of this keyboard (MX Keys without the "S") works perfectly fine. Ended up returning it.

Coming from a Logitech K800, This MX KEYS S just can't compare to the much older much cheaper keyboards of the past. The build quility feels nice but there just feels like something is terribly off. My WPM went way down while errors tripled. It's hard to say what exactly it is that is so terrible. The keys seem to not register unless you fully bottom them out. The spacing between keys seems a bit excessive too which may be contributing to the increase errors. After using this keyboard for 2 months, I can still pull out the K800 and blow this thing out of the water. I would not recommend this keyboard. Also doesn't use the same dongle as the MX Master 2s or MX Verticle.
