I was being completely realistic when I bought this so there really were ZERO expectations that this would be a good guitar for any experience level. This was purchased for my 5.5 y/o daughter who expressed interest in playing guitar, but she has small hands. The guitar is smaller and thus easier to play and for what it's worth, has a decent and big sound. The strings aren't all that great, who knows how long they sat on the shelf and the intonation needs to be set. The guitar frets out around the 10th, probably due to a high fret or something similar, but I was surprised that it was very playable in the majority of areas you'd be concerned with anyhow. Maybe this was why it was on clearance. For $54, you get instructional DVDs, the guitar, a cheapo soft case, some picks, another set of entry-level strings and a decent enough cheapo strap. At that price, it's a decent bargain. At $75 I'd even still consider it. At $100+, I'd probably pass and save my money. The reason I bought this over other guitars at similar or even cheaper price points was for the smaller scale though which surprisingly wasn't as easy for me to find out there in the world.

Bought this guitar for my 10 year old daughter to learn on. It's is a good size for her. The price was great and I think good quality for the price. I would recommend this guitar for beginners.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas so she could learn to play. The Guitar is a bit smaller than a standard size but does the job. Everything you need to start learning is included in this. Great buy for someone just learning to play.

Customers enjoy the affordable price and good sound of the 6-String Parlor-Size Acoustic Guitar. Many beginners and those learning to play the guitar appreciate its suitability for their skill level. The guitar also comes with various accessories and instructional CDs, making it a great value for the price. While some customers have mentioned that the strings could be better and a tuner would be a nice addition, overall, customers are pleased with this guitar.
