Very pleased with the M-CR612; beautiful performance in a small unassuming package. I have paired it with Klipsch reference series5 1/4 inch 2 way speakers. Properly placed this setup delivers clear audio that fills the room, far superior to my Bose setup. While I am pleased with this setup, I do plan to add a sub for a little more bass tone. But it’s great as it is. I have a large CD collection and enjoy the tactile act of taking one off the shelf and dropping it in the beautiful unit, and marveling at how good it sounds.

Its A nice cd player, receiver but it's not allowing me to hear loud music it shuts off which is nice where it has that safety mechanism on it so you don't blow your speakers, the sound if Excellent, and only plays 1 cd at a time .

I like everything about this receiver but one thing I don't like is the only way you can run an MP3 Player with it is to Bluetooth it. There is no way to run a cord from my MP3 to the receiver. The thing is the technology of the MP3 is not as advanced as the receiver so it takes a few minutes to Bluetooth it every time I turn booth off and on again. But the MP3 battery lasts longer in Bluetooth. I bought a couple of 175 watts rms JBL speakers and the 60 watts rms of the receiver gives me plenty of volume. I paid about the same amount for the speakers as I did for the receiver. I'm a rocker all the way and a musician so this setup makes me feel right at home listening to high quality sound. Also, it is very compact. I haven’t tried the CD yet. It is very easy to setup too. Should it have someplace to plug in a cord from the MP3 player I would have given it 5 stars. I wouldn't have bought it that I knew you couldn’t plug in an MP3 player with a cord.

For clarity, I don't on this Marantz, but have many Marantz units. The CR612 has an analog input on the back. If your mp3 has a 3.5 mm audio jack, you can plug in there with the right cable. It should be a great connection. Search Best Buy for model NS-POY35062. $7 will fix you up!
