This is the first and only complete recording of the Beethoven Symphonies with Mariss Janson's and his Symphonie Orchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks. This long-awaited cycle consists of the best concerts recordings of the orchestra's Japan tour and it's Munich concerts in late 2012. The six-CD edition is supplemented by works commissioned by Mariss Janson's from internationally renowned contemporary composers, requiring that each should refer to a Beethoven symphony.
