Pros well balanced sound good design. Great battery life. Cons huge lag when watching videos. Not great bass. Would I recommend it? Perhaps if you only need it for playing music or podcasts yes is a good speaker

For years I have seen Marshall produce a collection of great looking Bluetooth speakers! They’re attractive and the few I have listened to at best buy showrooms (acton, stanmore, Middleton) have been pretty impressive. I wanted something new to replace my older JBL speaker (flip 5) and thought the emberton was a good alternative. I was convinced that this was the perfect replacement because of the many reviews I read/ Marshall advertising about “Marshall signature sound / true stereophonic”. Upon unboxing I was impressed with the build quality and appearance of the speaker, i was sure I was going to enjoy the sound quality it was going to produce but was extremely disappointed once connected. The sound it produces is thin, bass is muffled and highs are flat. This speaker sounds like it has no punch / soul to it. I honestly cannot understand how people over at Marshall are happy with the sound this produced because it is atrocious! I really wanted to love this speaker but it is not something I can keep! This does not live up to the Marshall name!

I’ve had this speaker for a little over a year, and unfortunately it started having serious problems almost immediately after the manufacturer’s warranty expired. It now turns itself on randomly, refuses to shut off reliably, and the power button often doesn’t respond. I’ll turn it off, it powers back on, and I have to repeat this multiple times before it finally stays off. I’ve tried everything you’re supposed to try: resetting it, checking and updating the firmware, and making sure all software is current. None of that has helped. At this point it’s more frustrating than useful. Given the price and the reputation of the brand, this has been a major disappointment. I would not buy this speaker again and cannot recommend it.

I had full faith in the IP67 water-resistant rating, but the moment I sprinkled water to wipe out the dust, one speaker gave out. I didn't even bother returning it because I ordered it online and didn't want to hear any nonsense about how they can't return a damaged online order. Overall, the speaker is amazing, but just don't pour water on it AT ALL like what my stpd @## did

Had some problems right away, which resulted in having to send my speaker directly to Marshall for diagnostic and repair. Ever since I got it back though it’s like I don’t even want to use it anymore. And stacking with another Marshall speaker(same model) is very temperamental. And you can’t use your microphone to voice respond to text on your phone without the speaker making a very loud blip sound at the end and sometimes the stack will disconnect from that as well. And if you don’t have an extremely extremely strong Wi-Fi connection, you will not be able to connect to the app, and you can ONLY change the very limited equalizer settings from the app. It seems inconsistent because I have two of these and one sounds better than the other. But I can’t go through more Technical support drama trauma. Perhaps I am just radioactive.

Adding a second or third speaker does not pair well with the main speaker. Customer service is nonexistent. There is no phone number to call.

I've been having reoccurring problem getting my freaking e cards emailed too me once again its been like almost a week haven't received nothing not even a text or emails frome you updating me of anything and i have no clue where my money went. The speaker went fine got it perfectly

So disappointing.....cheap sound quality, has horrible sound volume and way overpriced....returned it within a few days for a cheaper jbl and was stoked. Better overall all around

blown speaker after 3 months would not buy this item again its for fanboys
