It’s the 17th day, and it does not work. No lights while switching on. (Check the photo.) Also, it’s not charging. Sound quality was good. But for the range, I would give 1 star. Social media video sound turns off after playing 2 seconds while switched from Spotify app. I have an Emberton, if I compare this Kilburn II with my Emberton, Kilburn is not something extra ordinary. I expected something better than what I got. Received better performance from my Emberton.

Initially, this speaker worked flawlessly. Sounds good, compact, great battery life. However, after about three months of use, it stopped working. It just would not charge or turn on, no indicator lighting up. Very disappointed with Marshal's quality control here. Would not recommend.

The brand it’s good, the speaker it’s nice the sound it’s incredible but I get this speaker open box and it’s not charging, doesn’t arrive with the original box, with instructions, with the original cable, the Bluetooth sometimes doesn’t work I need to returned but they said it’s my fault

Giving one star because I can’t give it less Never happy with this right from the get-go sound wasn’t near the quality I was expecting from Marshall and after 4 months it quit working all together- good thing is it forces me to buy something of better quality

Thank you for your review, we're sorry to hear about your Kilburn II. Could you please try the following, and see if it resolves the issue?
1. Plug the speaker into a working electrical outlet.
2. Turn the speaker off by turning the volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.
3. Wait 15 seconds, then turn the speaker on again.
4. Push and hold the Bluetooth button for 6-8 seconds to reset the speaker to default settings.
5. Remove the Kilburn II from your sound device’s Bluetooth list before pairing again

The sound quality, the design and the battery life is great for its price but the fact that this died on me in 6 weeks give me no other choice than rate it one star. It was working fine one day and the next day I just can't power it. It was almost fully charged and was not responding, I plugged it and still no response. I will try to return it soon.

I bought the Kilburn II 9/2/24 to use with guitar practice and backing tracks. July 2025 out of nowhere the speaker and the unit not turning on. I took the speaker into Best Buy (they were great!) and one of the representatives helped me troubleshoot and get the speaker working with a new cord. This SHOULD NOT happen for speaker only 9 months old that costs over $300. On 9/10/25 the speaker completely stopped working. No connection and won't turn on. New cord doesn't work. My speaker died 1 year and 1 week since I bought it. One week past the manufacturers warranty. Now I'm screwed, no practice speaker and out over $300 for a flashy looking speaker that is poor quality. DO NOT BUY!! When I was in Best Buy this past week. The new version of the Kilburn speaker volume knob didn't work. Another validation of the POOR QUALITY of this speaker. Be warned!!!!!!

It worked wonderfully for the past year couple ofv months since i bought it. I was played today with my Ipod bluetoothed to it and my guitar to my amp then, it stopped pumping our music so i plugged it in to outlet to charge but, it wont change...phuking garbage. Going back to Peavy. Oh and i always unplug it when fully charged so the battery doesn't become "Ate up".

Unfortunately I was shipped a returned item and had to take this to my local Best Buy. Plugged it in and after roughly 10-15 minutes it started to smell and heated up. Sounded good but it was already damaged. Purchased a Marshall Middleton speaker.

the sound was clear but to low at the max power, but the real problem was his connectivity issue when its was played when you skip the next song its disconnect because it loose the bt signal I don't know why.. believe maybe was mi iPhone but then do the same with an android and finally return it..

Speaker no longer works less than 1 year of my purchase. I did enjoy the speaker during the few months it was functional but I expected a company like Marshall to produce a better quality product at this price point.

Bought it and played it with my cellphone for about 6 hours before having to charge it again. I then kept it plugged into an outlet and played it for a couple of hours more. I then unplugged it and attempted to use again without the plug, but it didn’t charge up and it never was able to power back on even with the plug connected. I then left it plugged for about 2 hours and tested it again.....still didn’t power on, but the rear of the speaker was warm to the touch. This speaker sounded great for the first day of use, but didn’t last a second day. I had a terrible experience with this speaker....I will be returning it first thing tomorrow morning.

Perform a factory reset, this process is known to solve power and charging issues (noting this will delete all Bluetooth pairings):
Plug the speaker into a working electrical outlet.
Turn the speaker off by turning the volume knob counter-clockwise until you hear a click.
Wait 15 seconds, then turn the speaker to volume 5.
Push and hold the Bluetooth button for 15 seconds to reset the speaker to default settings.
Remove the Kilburn II from your sound device’s Bluetooth list before pairing again

Bought this for my husband it worked great for about 6 months then died. No biggie deal I had purchased the insurance. Received replacement and purchased insurance again. 6 months later it was dead again. This is poorly mad with materials that will not withstand more than a few months of play. Too bad because it sounds awesome.

Don’t mean to sound like a Karen but this thing is one of the worst experiences with audio I’ve ever had. I had it shipped to my home address and got a refurbished one in the mail. I did not select refurbish. Sorry Best Buy but I picked new. Second I got a new one when I sent it to the store and very frequently it looses frequency like out-a touch with my Bluetooth frequently. I’m not a sound magician but I sure with this product had a product replacement not a product repair for its warranty
