Changed the whole movie experience in my house. The new depth of the sound is what was missing and this sub does the job awesomely. Couldn’t be happier

This is an outright Excellent piece of equipment! Pairs beautifully with my B&W setup. Only thing I would have done differently is go with the 1000X instead. Bigger, ya know!

I bought a Marantz Receiver and recently upgraded to a more powerful Marantz and have it paired with Bower & Wilkins 600 Floor standing speakers. This sub was the most recent addition. Let me first state that I have been playing Piano for over 30 years and have a trained ear. Although I would say that my floor standing speakers are much better for music than movies, this MartinLogan Dynamo 10 will be excellent for both. I do not have a large home, so I have always preferred 10s over 12s. This sub has mind blowing depth for its size but punches with kick drums and live music with amazing accuracy. If you enjoy a lot of live music I think you will be blown away with how accurate this sub is with bass lines and drum kicks. For those of you who are looking to build a home theater for movies, this sub will shine when there is something explosive, thunderous, or deep in the movie. It sounds more like a 12 inch sub during movies but definitely sounds like a high powered 10 inch sub for music. This sub is rather expensive, but I got a great deal (open box) on mine and it was worth every penny. I have pushed mine pretty hard and "may" have found its limit, but I also had my receiver almost all the way up to find it. (if that tells you what this thing can handle) I would HIGHLY recommend this sub as it is the only one I've found in this price range that can keep up with higher end floor standing speakers. I LOVE Bowers & Wilkins, but to me they just don't deliver the same quality in their subs as MartinLogan without jumping up to the $2,500+ range. Overall, I have zero complaints about this sub. In my experience, whether car audio or home, subs tend to either kick/punch well, or are "boomy" and have great depth but rarely both at the same time. This sub is both. Another reason I prefer 10s over 12s is because 12s tend to have a sort of lingering sound. Given the amount of power this sub can handle, it has astounding accuracy even when loud. Rock, jazz, live hip hop... anything will sound awesome through this without having that long decaying bass sound. One of the easiest ways to tell how good a sub is, is simply by its weight and how it feels. A heavy duty sub will have a heavy duty magnet and construction. Other brands "say" they're good, but they're too lightweight. This thing is heavy and extremely well built. I also love the satin finish as it shines without showing finger prints as easily as a gloss finish. Just make sure you have your loudness, cross over, and frequency settings fine tuned, or this sub will be sort of faint or drowned out at the top end which is where it shines the most. The Foundation sub sounds great too for a lower price point, but it won't be able to handle being pushed as much with clarity as the real deal here. Pros: Size Can handle a ton of power/loudness without distorting Accurate kicks (and it really thumps) Very accurate bass guitar when loud Good for movies too Can be down firing or side Cons: None

I have had this sub for a month now and it has made a difference to the over all sound of movies and some TV shows. Explosions rumble the floor and furniture in action films and bass is plentiful overall. Bought this unit primarily because it works with Anthem Audio's ARC software and as I have an Anthem receiver thought it would be a good fit. Set up was simple, as close to plug and play as you can get. The ARC software picked it up right away. You can also run it without using ARC and there is an app that lets you make adjustments on the fly. Most subs are not much to look at but this unit in gloss piano black is an exception but it does attract dust so beware. At 300 watts it is powerful enough for my small living room. Happy with the purchase especially since it was on sale.

For the price range, it is outstanding. The app works great and it really does improve the sound. The sub is versatile - you can have it forward or downward firing. The bass is tight and not boomy... works well for music and movies. The only knock on it is that it drops off quite quickly around 20hz. If that matters to you, I would recommend spending a little more to get the next one or two steps up in the series.

I returned a Definitely Technology 800 and was so so glad I did. This made a HUGE difference. I have a 20 x 20 open floor plan family room and it has plenty power. I usually need to lower it because it has so much bass. For the return, I debated between this and Bowers. Ended up with this because the sound for the action movies was just fantastic. For music, Bowers was better but for theater, Martin Logan is better. Plus the remote app is a nice and very convenient feature to have.

Just like TNT, powerful things sometimes come in small packages. The Dynamo 800X certainly fits that criteria. Solidly built with Martin Logan ingenuity, reliability and quality. Are there bigger, better and more expensive subwoofers to be had? Of course. There are many choices, including other offerings from Martin Logan. But, the 800X is a fantastic and ideal package that combines quality and price. A terrific value.

This subwoofer was setup with my MartinLogan Motion 35XT speakers for music only. After finding the right location, it sounds great - it fills in the bass that my bookshelf speakers lack, but is essentially invisible to the ear. ARC setup worked great, then I tweaked the volume, crossover, and phase. Well built, compact. Tight bass sound.

This sub really surprised me. When I went to shop for subs, I was mainly looking at SVS. Martin Logan never crossed my mind for subs. I was replacing an almost 20 year old B&W that could dig deep. The salesperson was reallly helpful as we demoed this, SVS and REL. Big thing for me was app control. I liked the size of this unit along with the ability to dial in with the Anthem Room Correction app. This made a huge difference in the smoothness and tight punch I was looking for. Does it go the deepest? No, but for its size it hits pretty hard wothout being too obtrusive. I wouldnt hesitate to purchase again.

Outstanding sound! Glad I went with the larger 800 for my room 700 sq ft theatre room. I paired it with the SLMs for mains and SLMXL for center. Those speakers sounded great except the bass and this sub fixed that and then some. The automated tool to set up the sub worked marvelously.

This subwoofer is perfect for a large space and sounds great even over tile. I sampled songs and music and the bass is nice and clean. With the added benefit of controlling the volune from an app on the phone its perfect for houses that need to adjust volume based on occupants and sleeping status.

Works better than I expected. The bass is felt in the floor and the couch, awesome. My only thought is what I can do to keep the Subwoofer from moving around on the floor. First time I have heard of Martin Logan, but when I found out they were based in Lawrence, KS, I had to support the local business and give them a try. I spent over 6K for all 11 speakers, but am in awe of the sound quality and clarity I get from the whole 7.1.4 speaker system.

I knew I had a winner when the very knowledgable Geek Squad rep told me he had the exact same speaker. I can feel the power pumping from this speaker and it astounds me how much depth it has. It has made watching movies that much more enjoyable. Easy to use and connect which is a bonus for me since I'm not much of a tech guy.

Tight, responsive, clear sound. Matches the Motion XT FM100s perfectly. Easily configured though the app (and a very solid and easy to use app at that. App developers could learn something from it).

Very nice subwoofer with a small footprint. It's the perfect size for a bedroom. I have it paired with my KEF R3s. Having the option to change from down firing to front firing is the reason why I purchase Martin Logan subwoofers. The flexible is a must. I used the Perfect Bass Kit to dial it in to my room.

I replaced my older MartinLogan for this Dynamo 800X. Same great sound and quality. Looks nice in the corner of the room. It has legs now, my last one did not. The legs look real nice. We put a tall fake potted tree on top. Blends right into the room.

This is an outstanding subwoofer with a deep and pulsating bass and a great look as well. I have it as part of a theater sound system in my lower level great room and it performs very well. This replaced a wireless MartinLogan subwoofer that did not consistently power up. I am very pleased with this component.

Mad power! Smooth bass that really enhances my MartinLogan Atmos system. Bought during a 25% off sale so price was more reasonable. Far exceeds my needs at this point. Always good to have a little more than needed for future growth I feel.
