Fill your home with music using this MartinLogan Icon 3XW in-wall speaker. The Folded Motion XT Obsidian tweeter makes the high-frequency sounds come alive, while the dual 5.25-inch low-frequency drivers deliver clean, thundering bass. This MartinLogan Icon 3XW in-wall speaker features a sealed-back box enclosure to help reduce fidelity-robbing vibrations.
Regardless of the environment, our speakers sound better, more articulate, detailed, and realistic. With Controlled Dispersion and one of the clearest tweeters in the industry, our architectural models can compete with and often exceed the performance of traditional speakers.
Masterpiece CI Series steps up the game with the Folded Motion XT Obsidian tweeters, which advance thin-film transducer technology even further. The result is superior realism and alarming specificity. Folded Motion XT takes tweeter technology to the next level
Icon 3XW features cones using unidirectional carbon fiber, a material that is twice as strong as steel but with a sixth of the density, for exceptional rigidity without the weight. They are designed in multiple sections to take full advantage of this material.
Each cone is reinforced by a Nomex backer, for added damping that prevents ringing and reduces breakup modes in these extremely rigid cones. The drivers feature powerful, efficient magnet structures, enabling massive excursion and huge sound output, while preserving deep bass details.
To deliver more accuracy in the critical midrange, the mid-frequency drivers have their suspensions "stiffened." This raises the driver's resonant frequency and optimizes performance to achieve a natural roll-off, inherently keeping it in an ideal range for mid-frequencies
Vojtko Crossovers are named after MartinLogan's chief audio technologist, Joe Vojtko. Vojtko Crossovers are hand-built from the highest quality components and avoid overly complex topologies. This crossover has a straightforward objective: breathtaking realism.
While there are many choices of CI speakers out there, MartinLogan stands out for bringing unique, high-performance technologies together in a package that perfectly blends discrete sound with noticeable quality. Performance and Aesthetics, both without compromise.
Room acoustics are extremely important. Everything in the listening room has an impact on the sound of your speakers, so we try to minimize the harmful effects by focusing the sound directly on your ears. This increases clarity, and detail regardless of the rooms design.
