With it being flush, you have a nice clean look and don't have a gap between the wall and the back of the speaker. We hope this helps and thank you again for considering us for your purchase.
A: Thank you for your question and we hope all is well. Yes the SLM can be used as any speaker in a home theater application. The Folded Motion tweeters have an 80° x 80° dispersion pattern, which allows SLM and SLM XL to sound exactly the same in a horizontal or vertical orientation, making them perfect for Left-Center-Right (LCR) system applications. Q: Would these work in an LCR setup behind an acoustic transparent screen?
A: Yes. They sound great. I have 2 SLMs for L/R and 1 SLM CL for C. Though not behind a screen. Any speaker will be compatible with an acoustically transparent screen. That said. If the have enough room behind the screen. I’d use 3 towers for LCR, something like 3 Motion 20i or 40i. You’ll have more natural sound experience. SVS and KEF also make fantastic towers. Good luck

Looking and sounding great!
These speakers are great. They sound amazing and look great as part of our new Dolby Atmos system. You do need a good subwoofer to bring out maximum sound.

Best speakers ive ever owned.
These are really nice looking and great sounding speakers. I love the slim profile with then hanging on the wall. I use this one as my center speaker. If youre using these as stereo and center channels, you need a woofer. The sound clearity is amazing but there is very little bass out of them. Dont let my photo deceive the size of the speaker. I have an 85" tv in the pic.

Awesome set of speakers
Nice sleek look and great sound. Can be installed on wall or comes with speaker stand. Great installation by Best Buy technician on wall with hidden wires behind the wall. These take up less room than bookshelf speakers. I have total tech membership so all my electronic and computer purchases come with a two year warranty for free.
