Most reviews are posted after recently having it installed. Well, my review is 2 years after usage. If you google this microwave, you'll see the entire nation having the same issue. Errors saying doors open even though it's not. It disables the microwave from being used. The 10-year warranty from Maytag is a TOTAL JOKE. In short, this is what it covers.... a rusty bin(inside the microwave) so if you're not using your microwave in the swimming pool, I doubt you'll ever have to stress that issue. And if the magnetron goes out (what warms up the food) it would be covered. So they back things you NEVER have to stress, all the things that do break... not covered by Maytag. In my case, I called Maytag, had a rep come out and fix it. charged me $75 for showing up (Understand, they have to get paid) just to tell me that it would cost more to fix this than getting a new one. Well, of course, we bought all Maytag stuff so now I have to figure out how to NOT BUY Maytag ( Whirlpool) and make my microwave match with the rest of our kitchen appliances. Let's not forget, we have had issues with all our other new Maytag appliances (dishwasher mainly). Maytag was a workhorse unit 10 years ago, today it's just more garbage and not worth the money. Here I am, stuck with a still new microwave and its a paperweight. Maytag had ZERO care in the world. Mind you its just my wife and I who use this thing. Usage is far below average and we maintain and take care of all of our items with extreme care.

Replacement for an older model. This microwave is superior in many ways. The fan and light are much better than previous versions and the convection is great.

We owned the previous version of this microwave, it worked great for 10 years before it gave out. This one is nicer and we know some tricks to make it work better for us. Highly recommend getting a splatter dome. Don't use lysol, clorox wipes on the stainless. The controls are nicer.
