  • Features
    • Hard Food Disposer: false (This feature has blades to chop and disintegrate hard food particles, making them small enough to easily drain away. This prevents them from being recirculated back onto dishware and allows for easy maintenance.)
    • Drying Method: Heated drying (Appliances that use heat to dry the dishes will include a heating element or minerals which transform moisture into heat. A fan or vent then circulates the hot dry air throughout the tub during the drying cycle. This may reduce drying time and the risk of water spots. Appliances that use minerals to produce heat are considered more energy efficient than those that include a heating element. Appliances that use condensation drying are considered more energy efficient than those that use heated drying. Q: What is the purpose of the Sani Rinse option, and how effective is it in removing bacteria?

A: The Sani Rinse option on the Maytag dishwasher uses a high-temperature rinse to remove 99.999% of food soil bacteria, providing a more hygienic clean for your dishes. This feature is particularly useful for sanitizing items such as baby bottles, cutting boards, and utensils.

Q: What is the benefit of the Short Heated Dry option, and how does it save time in the drying process?

A: The Short Heated Dry option reduces excess moisture inside the dishwasher, enabling smaller loads of dishes to dry quickly. It saves time by using higher temperatures and a powerful internal fan to expedite the drying process, ensuring dishes are dry in less time compared to regular drying cycles.

Q: How does the adjustable upper rack in this dishwasher accommodate bulky pots and pans?

A: The adjustable upper rack in this dishwasher can be raised or lowered to create more space for bulky pots and pans. This allows you to fit more dishes into the dishwasher and avoid having to wash them by hand.

Q: How does the Overfill Detect feature work, and what measures does it take to prevent potential issues?

A: The Overfill Detect feature in the Maytag dishwasher uses a sensor to detect if there is too much water in the tub. If the water level exceeds a certain point, the sensor will cut power to the inlet valve, preventing any more water from entering the dishwasher. This helps to prevent potential overflows and water damage.

Q: What is the estimated annual electricity use and operating cost of this dishwasher, and how does it compare to other models in terms of energy efficiency?

A: The estimated annual electricity use of this dishwasher is 270 kilowatt-hours, and the estimated annual operating cost is 38 US dollars. It is more energy-efficient than older models, using nearly 40% less energy.

Q: What is the difference between the Enhanced Wash cycle and the Normal cycle, and when should I use each one?

A: The Enhanced Wash cycle uses more water and heat than the Normal cycle, providing a more powerful clean. Use the Enhanced Wash cycle for heavily soiled dishes or when you want the best possible cleaning results. Use the Normal cycle for lightly soiled dishes or when you want to save water and energy.

Q: What type of control panel does this dishwasher have, and is it user-friendly for someone who may not be tech-savvy?

A: This dishwasher features a user-friendly touchpad control panel located at the top of the dishwasher door. The control panel is designed to be intuitive and easy to understand, making it suitable for users who may not be tech-savvy. The touchpad allows users to easily select wash cycles, options, and settings with just a touch of a button.

Q: Can you explain how the Heated Dry with Fan feature works and how it helps reduce excess moisture?

A: The Heated Dry with Fan feature in the Maytag dishwasher utilizes increased temperature and a powerful internal fan to reduce excess moisture inside the appliance. This combination effectively dries dishes by circulating hot air throughout the dishwasher, ensuring that smaller loads are dry in less time.

    No. Just no. REGRETS!

Wow what a total regret to buy. Have had sooo many issues. Please do not buy this. Smelled weird like burning plastic during drying cycle. Then wands stopped spraying. Out of labor and parts warranty so we replaced circulation pump ourselves. Yay! Back up and running bit now the fan drying cycle is not working...bought ib May but notnin use until our new construction COO in September. Not even a year used. Family of 4 used 5 times a week. Sooo disappointed with the Maytag brand which we never have bought before.
