Fantastic Laptop. Installed Windows 10 Enterprise for them for the office. Would recommend over the surface pro even though I like them as well.

Great laptop, the only thing I changed was upgrading to the windows 10, didn't like windows s, and really wants the point of windows s, people buy pc because you can do anything on them. Also if there was one thing that I could change, it would be being able to replace the battery easy, its the first thing to go on a lap, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hopping that the battery will last for a good 4 years like mac dose.

Hi there,
Thanks for letting us know how your experience with your Surface Laptop is going so far. We're glad you were able to successfully switch out of Windows 10 in S mode for your preference. We highly recommend avoiding any kind of tampering with your device's battery, as this will void the warranty if you should encounter any difficulties in the future. We appreciate you choosing the Surface Laptop!
Cheers,
Jessica

Felt compelled to write a review for this machine after seeing a sole one star review that fails to actually review the computer. Bought this laptop straight from Microsoft and have been using it for about a month. PROS: - Great screen, and the 3:2 ratio is the way to go if you are planning on using the laptop for any sort of productivity. I don't think I will be able to go back to a regular 16:9 screen form factor after using this. - great battery life - obviously I haven't gotten the full 14 hours or so that Microsoft claims but I haven't been in a position where I wished the battery lasted longer. Bonus that the charging block has a USB port to charge a phone or any other device without using the sole port on the laptop. - great keyboard - this was important to me, and the keyboard is very comfortable to type on. The fabric palm rest make it a really inviting and 'warm' experience. - performance - I've been working with massive MS Excel workbooks and tons of data and haven't been slowed down or been in a position where I needed more power. The Intel Iris Plus 640 graphics are very nice as well and definitely helps a lot with speed and performance (as well as the 16gb of RAM). - odds and ends - the speakers are awesome, and Windows 10 Pro (free upgrade from the pre-loaded Windows 10S) is great to use dead simple to get. CONS: -Trackpad - the only issue I have with it is that it is too loud when physically clicking. Tapping and other trackpad functions are still great. - ports - I have the Surface dock which is a great product and I highly recommend it, so the lack of ports doesn't really bother me. If I have to use one I will just plug my Surface into the dock. Yes, I wish it had a USB C port... BUT I don't see it being an issue in the future. USB A is still the standard and will still be around for quite a while. When USB C does eventually take over, I plan on just upgrading the surface dock to a newer model that will more than likely have USB Cs. Or just carry a dongle in your backpack. This isn't really a big deal to me. But I understand how it can be a dealbreaker for some. Great Laptop!

I though this was like the surface pro just with an attached keyboard. The problem I had was it was running Windows 10 S (student edition) and not Win 10 Pro so I could not attach to my enterprise network. and for the price I was not willing to pay for the Win10 Pro upgrade Otherwise is a nice concept

Great laptop for travel. Lightweight and portable, long battery life. Debated at length Mac vs Surface, but in the end chose the Surface since I'd owned PCs in the past and I am extremely happy with my decision.

This is not 16GB memory option. Beware this is the 8GB model.
