A: Retail version.
A: Ithe Operating system on my computer became corrupt. I could not do a recovery and I could not complete an online upgrade without the blue screen of desth or the system cutting off. I purchased a new windows 10 Flash Drive in the box. Did a “New Install” and everything began to work plus my old documents, songs and photos were saved. After that I used Norton to correct any additional problems and remove any issues that remained the blue screen returned once or twice but after the new version 10 and Norton did it’s thing it never went to blue screen again. Hope this helps.

A: No,it's a USB flash drive you can insert in one of the ports on your device. Then you can go to recovery options and install from there or you can reboot from the USB port that you are using
