I have not used the HDMI input, but it links quickly as a CarPlay device for my Android phone! I use Graphene OS, and need to unlock my phone when I get into the car initially for the wireless Android Auto to link, but the Bluetooth signal connects as soon as the car powers up. Once fully connected, both BT and WiFi remain rock solid the entire time with no music stuttering or noise. Call performance is terrific as well. My only complaint is actually about my car, as the Bluetooth signal is so good on this that any time my EV is charging, the 12V system and the MINIX stay powered up, forcing me to disable my phone Bluetooth when I am inside my home to prevent connection. (But the USB port I use would power any other wireless CP/AA up just the same.) I'll probably just put it onto a magnetic connection that is quick to make and break when I enter or leave the car.

This is my go to gadget for my wireless carplay. Does exactly what it is suppose to do.

Love it....nice to have for an emergency if your phone is died.

This one is not the best adapter. The connection is not as stable as some of the others and it takes longer to boot up

This is a nice one to have to use in my vehicle and it works like a charm. Plus, it was a cheaper price as well.

Stop playing the guessing game with adapters. This one works and lets you do what you want.

The device does not reconnect automatically. The Bluetooth needs to be manually reconnected every time it or used. Displays Apple Car Play when using Android Auto.

Please do me a favor do not buy this item very bad. The USB port broke on me so do not buy.
