Mitch Rowland, a singer-songwriter from the outskirts of Columbus, Ohio, first fell in love with music at age four, captivated by the sounds of a vintage jukebox. Teaching himself drums and guitar throughout his youth, he eventually moved to Los Angeles, where a chance opportunity led to collaborations with Harry Styles, co-writing hits like InchWatermelon SugarInch and InchGolden.Inch Inspired by early influences such as The Black Crowes, Aerosmith, and Nick Drake, and encouraged by his wife and bandmate Sarah Jones, Rowland crafted his introspective sophmore album Whistling Pie with producer Rob Schnapf.
