Brand new Lockheed Martin SR-71 Blackbird Aircraft steel model kit by Metal Earth, featuring a highly detailed exterior and classified as a moderate difficulty build. This officially licensed model kit comes in a brand new box and includes 13 parts, a display stand, and has no openings in the assembled model. The finished dimensions are approximately 3.98 inches long, 2.05 inches wide, and 1.18 inches high. No glue or paint is required for assembly, though tweezers or similar tools are recommended. The SR-71 Blackbird was a long-range, Mach 3.5+ strategic reconnaissance aircraft developed by Lockheed and its Skunk Works division, notable for being the first aircraft constructed mainly of titanium. At full velocity, the airplane’s surface heated to over 260°C (500°F). A total of 3,551 missions were flown with none lost due to enemy military action.
