We got the stove top as a gourmet upgrade to the kitchen in a house we bought. We’ve never been happy with it. The griddle does not cook evenly, it’s hotter on the sides than it is in the middle. Began leaking grease out the bottom into the cabinet below. When we took it apart, we found that the griddle did not seal well and so grease was dripping down through the innards of the stove, top and coming out the bottom. There’s no way to be careful or, avoid this problem. The grease apparently leaks out whenever you clean The griddle and deposit the grease in the grease catch. It’s an amazingly poor design. Grease catch doesn’t even spin the whole width of the griddle. Thankfully, the grease just carbonized, but it’s quite worrisome as a fire hazard. We will be replacing this as soon as we can afford it.
