Q: Does this monitor have split screen? If so can you hear in both rooms while on the split screen?
A: I just purchased this monitor last week. Yes, it has a split screen and I'm able to view both cameras I purchased on the monitor. I don't know about the sound part yet. I'm attaching a photo of split screen view. Hope this helps.

A: Yes, you can choose to stay on just one monitor or have the display switch between the two about every 10 to 15 seconds.
A: The parts that is on the camera that is on the kid have to be, but the camera that you use to see the kid do not have to be plugged in

A: The volume is basically all the way up on the cameras so no adjustment on them, just on the monitor. For the money though, it is a great system.
