It is a light weight shelf that can hold something light like a monitor or an extra shelf in the entertainment area. The shelf height is adjustable with legs coming apart in small sections. Remember it is plastic, it will not take much to break it. Works for my needs, and in the future I could see me buying another one for a different area.
