I bought this board just about 3 months ago and I'm currently using it with a Ryzen 5 3600 O.C.'d to 4.2Ghz. It's a great board and does *just* about everything you could ask for. There are only 2 downsides I've had while owning the product. The first is that it has a single M.2 NVMe drive bay. It's not a deal breaker by any means (especially if all you're doing is gaming, like I am). I would just recommend you get the largest capacity NVMe SDD you can afford (using the M.2 bay will disable 2 SATA ports I believe). The second is that it DOES have USB 3.1 Gen 2, but as a port on the back of the board. It DOES NOT have a USB 3.1 Gen 2 header on the board. Only a standard 3.1 Gen 1 header is available. This is only a bummer if you have a case that supports 3.1 Gen 2 via USB-C and you don't have a header available for it. Yes, I can just use the rear port so I don't find that it truly matters. Also, if you're curious as to the differences between the B450 Tomahawk and B450 Tomahawk Max...I believe the Max version supports 3rd Gen Ryzen out of the box, DDR4-3466, and has an increased 32mb BIOS chip. Lastly, the board is very under-stated and clean, which I love. The RGB lights on the side are a nice touch. I also love that it has RGB headers that work extremely well with Mystic Light. It's been extremely reliable for me and I always recommend this board first.
Motherboard fit perfectly with my lian Li lancool 205 the part that I put in the back panel was a little big but I got it to fit perfectly. This motherboard is Perfect for my $700 budget build

Love it bought this for my first build and love how it lights up because it also has rgb. If you want to not spend much this is a good MOB to get if you want to spend a little more get the b550 but this one will do. Its also future proof just in case you want to upgrade to a better cpu or gpu in the near future. If anybody is trying to build their first pc and don't know where to see if parts are compatible check out pcpartpicker.com thats what helped me pick my parts for my build.

Used with a Ryzen 3600 and it booted up on the first try. This was my first time trying to build a PC. NOTE it has been announced that zen 2 won’t work with b450 motherboards so if you want an easy path to upgrade consider getting a b550 motherboard.

I purchased this board last week, built my pc with ryzen 5 3600, 32gb corsair rgb, powercolor red devil rx 5600, 700w thermaltake, 120gb ssd and 500gb hdd. Plan to get m.2 1tb and more hdd. I definitely recommend get this board for anyone thats looking to build one and learn how to build their own. It was worth the time for me to build everything! I stream on twitch if anyone wants to know Jako0516 channel name

Works with 3800X. So far I got it up to 4.3GHz stable. Mated with a Sarbent 1TB M.2.(SB-ROCKET-1TB), 4 stick of 16GB (MD4U163216CGDA), EVGA 700W (100-BR-0700-K1), and MSI Radeon RX 5700 XT EVOKE OC. Used the stock cooler that came with the CPU and a cheap generic case. The enabling the XMP did not provide any increase in my RAM performance. The RAM setting remain unchanged even with XMP enabled. Tried to take CPU up to 4.4GHz but it would revert back to 3.9GHz and I don't know why. Tip: Clear the CMOS if you happen to change setting in BIOS that makes it unbootable.

Very value board with good features. It isn't the prettiest (doesn't have RGB lighting, and no chrome) but it fits well in my all black build. I get all the features of running zen 3 in it, without going x570. Supports my 4 sticks of ram up to 3666mhz cl 16 so no issues there, and has plenty of fan headers for fans.

Very easy to install and calibrate w/ the appropriate cords. It lights up red when the pc is powered on. Setup process on screen is fairly easy to go through. 10/10 would recommend.

I like how this motherboard don't give me fits like my old one,but also seems to be good constructed runs smooth as it should I had a problem getting mystic lights to work. I realized that was due to not doing a Windows update ,did that and it works fine. All in all out of all the motherboards I've ran I do like this one the most because of quality and features.

Reliable motherboard. Worked with my Ryzen 5 2600 just fine and supports Ryzen 3000 out of the box and Ryzen 5000 with a BIOS update. It also handled overclocking my 2600 to 4.0 GHz at 1.325V with no issues. I wish it had another M.2 slot but other than that I've had no other issues with this motherboard.

Easy board to pair a ryzen 3xxx series CPU with. Didn't need to update firmware out of the box.

I built my wife her own computer using the B450 Tomahawk Max with a Ryzen 2600, 16gb Corsair RGB 3200mhz RAM, Samsung 250gb NVME M.2 (boot drive), 500gb Samsung EVO SSD and a GTX-750 Nvidia graphics card from an old off the shelf ASUS rig all put into a Corsair 175R case. I know, the graphics card is a bottleneck point but it is only a temporary solution until I can afford a better card. All in all, the motherboard was so easy to install and being that it is the Max version, I did not have to update the BIOS for the CPU. The BIOS is easy to configure and seems to be a good value for this build. The first thing I did is I uninstalled the included Mystic Light software that was loaded on it and replaced it with Mystic Light 3. I highly recommend this motherboard if you are planning a Ryzen build because it is future proof.
