Q: Can someone link a power supply unit (PSU) that will work with this MB? I was looking at the Corsair RM650 but it only has an 8-pin slot, while the MB is showing an 8-pin and 4-pin slot. TIA -From a noob

A: I bought this board then realized my power supply only had an 8 pin slot. I contacted MSI customer support and they said I only need the 8 pin, that the 4 pin is only for 'high end' computers that need the power. If your power supply doesn't have the extra 4-pin then you either don't need it or your power supply isn't big enough.

Q: Is this compatible with ryzen 7?

A: NO, not al all. Ryzen is AM4 socket.

Q: So I’m looking into a motherboard and I’m wondering if this goes with a 9th gen 15. If not, can I be pointed to a motherboard that will go with it?

A: If it's not a gen 10 processor it doesn't have the correct socket. I9 gen 9 is an 1151. Gen 10m is 1200. You need to look at a 1151 pin cpu socket. Almost any of them will work and do fine. MSI, ASRock are two I like. Hope you find what you are looking for.

Q: hello good night, this card works with all types of i7 processors?

A: No, only the 10th generation i5, i7, and i9 processors.

Q: Looking to upgrade my Asus z97 motherboard i have a i 7 and 32GB DDR3 RAM

A: Your Z97 motherboard is quite old and nothing new will with in it. It uses DDR3 memory, we now use DDR4. It has a socket 1150, we are on socket 1151 with the 9th generation, and 1200 on the 10th (and soon coming 11th) generation processors. You cannot use the memory, cpu, or motherboard in a new build, but you may be able to use peripheral items such as hard drive, optical drive, power supply (maybe), case, keyboard, and mouse. You will need to buy a new motherboard, cpu, and memory at the very least. However, remember that new motherboards have M.2 NVME connectors, making booting and program loading extremely fast. You may be able to sell the memory as used, same with the cpu and other parts, but do not expect much.
