great budget motherboard to pair with my i5 10400, i was looking into two other MB at a higher price but decided to go with this one because of the price and performance. yes, i would love some rgb on it but spending the extra money for it wasn’t worth it. so this z490 pro is the perfect choice for 10400, 10500, 10600 and 10700 anything above those please stay away because you wasn’t your money and will be lacking the performance those cpu have to offer. the bios for this motherboard was easy to use, i had to do a quick bios update tho so be aware of that. only con i have is, i wish it had one more usb header but other than that, this motherboard gets the job done at a low price.

This mother board is working great for my first mining rig and I bought it again to use it on my second mining rig.

Great motherboard if you don't mind horrible sound quality and a horrible manual. The mobo comes with a quick installation guide which is junk. It has pictures and one to two words to describe an installation step. I was able to download a manual from msi's website that was a lot better. The mobo has audio jacks that are junk. I took my good speakers from my old computer and connected them to this mobo. The audio jack is loose allowing the connector to easily pull out and it wobbles. There is also a loud humming noise. The audio jack on the case doesn't wobble but still has the loud humming. I can plug the speakers into something else and there is no humming noise. Updated drivers and it still hums. Might have to buy a soundcard. Just a heads up, I installed a NVMe M.2 and it's drive 1 not drive 0. Still trying to figure out how to change that.

Very good motherboard, good temperatures, lots of connectivity extras, but my Thermaltake UX200 heatsink was not supported due to the size of the VRMs :c

Great and solid motherboard for those who own 10th gen intel, and or want to upgrade to 11th gen intel cpus.

Purchased new 10900k and this motherboard from Best Buy. DOA out of the box (Dead CPU socket / CPU not detected LED). Ended up returning it to Best Buy and picked up another brand motherboard from best buy worked as intended. Missing retention C clamp on M.2 cover. Minimal pack ins including which is fine for a budget board but no manual (must be downloaded/viewed online) is a major problem.

Pros: - Good build quality - Fairly large heatsinks on VRMs - Two PCIe 3.0x4 M.2 slots - Included heatspreader for top M.2 drive - No RGB (although this may be a con for others) - BIOS is easy to use; lots of overclocking options - Front-side USB-C Cons: - Lacking in rear USB (5 standard + 1 USB-C) - Limited options for S3/S4/S5 sleep states in BIOS; As far as I can tell, there's no way to enable "Resume by USB Device" for just the S3 state and not the S5 state. So if you want your mouse or keyboard to be able to wake your PC from sleep mode, you also have to give them the power to turn on your PC from shut down (the USB ports retain limited power in S5). You can't have one without the other. This can be annoying if you don't want your PC accidentally turning on in the middle of the night after shutting it down. All in all a solid motherboard. Started up first try and have had zero stability issues thus far.

great motherboard for the price, has 4 slots of ram, can easily handle 3200-3600 MHZ. Stays stable at around 35C all the time. Wish the software support was better.

Finally upgraded from my ANCIENT circa 2009 mobo, and I think for the price I couldn't have made a better choice for the upgrade. Though I may be biased because my previous motherboard was a fossil, this has so far been incredibly easy to install and has a very easy to navigate BIOS. Components were easily found on the board when setting it up, I had no hassle searching for the correct hookups for various parts. Would recommend!

Very good, got with a full upgrade to a 10700k and I can't say I have any issues. Had issues with my previous b450-f and I have non of the issues with this motherboard. Not a bad price but a great mobo overall.

New(er) to "building" computers. Had parts from my Lenovo gaming computer and wanted to add a water cooler. The Lenovo's are just too tine for anything other than the factory components. Needed a decent Intel motherboard and this was the cheaper and most available at Best Buy. Easy to install and set up. Runs/performs flawlessly! (Cool colors, too!) Would definitely recommend!

Great motherboard for the price. And definitely just as good as the more expensive competitors! It also has a nice bios setup and you can save different overclock settings. If you are looking for a great z490 motherboard at a great price you definitely can't go wrong with this.

On sale, this is a good value and the BIOS is easy to navigate. Just make sure that you adjust the DRAM speed to the modules you use so as to get the full speed out of the memory. The board comes set to "auto" for the speed, but when I adjusted it to the speed of memory, I noticed a significant improvement is system speed. Instructions are pretty weak, better to go on-line and seek better detail if necessary.

This motherboard works great! And is awesome for the price I got it because my last motherboard quit on me and this one pacts a lot the looks are cool, and for just a little cheaper price than it’s sister board it’s worth it unless you really want and rgb io shield, but overall I’ve had no issues and this works great!

I love the features of this board. This is my first build and coming from a midgrade dell, this is a huge upgrade for me. I like that it has a second nvme m.2 slot and a slot for a second graphics card. When I chose this board I didn't notice that it didn't have built in wifi nor bluetooth, but it was fairly simple to add that. My only disappointment was that the thunderbolt 3 card I have didn't seem to be compatible with this board. The header is different. For me, this isn't a big deal though, I don't use thunderbolt 3 very often. I have to say this board isn't entirely beginner friendly, but even if you start out with this board you can pull it off and have a nice build if you take your time and have patience.

Great motherboard especially for the price, I have it in an NZXT case and if slid right in no problems and I accidently installed the ram in the wrong slots and it told me that they were before it booted. Overall I would recommend this especially if you're on a budget.

Good work station board. Installed new I-3 with onboard graphics. Good bios, easy to navigate. No RGB but that was a plus for me. Board was overkill for my use but cheaper boards are hard to come by. Overall you cant go wrong with MSI motherboards.
