I have had my TV over six months now And I like the color I just wish it had more viewing angles. I should've spent a little bit more money so that I would have a better view at different angles because having an 86 inch TV and only be able to look at it directly is only good for a few of the people in the room.

Disappointed with the purchase of this TV. It had a smoky/cloudy grid, which you notice when it’s showing a clear blue sky. From what I looked up the issue is called DSE (dirty screen effect). Not only that but during movies in dark scenes there’s like a black blob in the dark scenes. Also a foggy look on the screen with lights at the bottom of the screen which makes it hard to enjoy a movie. I will post the pictures. The only way to watch a movie is in standard view mode. Couldn’t put cinema n especially filmmaker mode. That’s when the picture was so bad. I don’t know if it was only my tv but it made me hesitant to replace it with another of the same model. Also I went to the LG site and they don’t even have this model, the 83 series on their site. They only have the 80 and 85 series. I picked the 80. Let’s see how it goes.

Absolutely awful! The banding on this is worse than the first one I had. It’s like they just slapped this thing together slipped the quality assurance to make a quick buck. Do not buy!!!!! Dirty screen effect and banding issues unlike anything I have ever seen.

I literally searched all over for the 86 inch version. Drove an hour away in to a city because they were the only store that had one. It was open box with Best Buy’s “excellent” rating. Nobody in the store even knew they had it. One kid went out of his way to look all over the warehouse I wish I remembered his name and could give him a review. Anyway, he found it and it was returned in the box basically brand new. I got it for under $1500. I have a very bright room with a window on the wall directly across from my tv, so I needed a tv that was good in a bright room. It’s 11AM not a cloud in the sky and the picture is flawless. Best picture on a tv that I’ve ever owned. The remote control takes some getting used to and had me throwing a few F words around at first but I’m already getting used to and it’s growing on me. The sound is really good, but I haven’t set my surround sound up yet so I don’t know how difficult that will be. The“picture” Home Screen was a nice surprise for my wife. Again it’s only day 2 but so far this is the best tv I’ve ever owned. Very happy with my purchase and extremely grateful for that kid at Best Buy that went on a mission to find this tv in the warehouse.

All I can say is "Holy Cow" this TV is huge and the picture is unbelievable. The 4K is spectacular and the Black is extremely Black!

Absolutely love it. The brights are bright and so big. Love the features but only disappointment was that is not compatible with spectrum. Had to go Roku.

I HAVE USED THIS TV FOR ABOUT 2 AND A HALF WEEKS NOW WHEN I FIRST HOOKED IT UP TO MY CABLE THE PICTURE WAS KIND OF FUZZY AND THE COLOR WAS DULL,MY OLD TV WAS HOOKED UP BY COAXIAL CONNECTION I USED THIS CONNECTION INITIALLY . I CHANGED TO HDMI CONNECTION AND EVERYTHING WAS AS IT SHOULD BE .THE PICTURE AND COLOR ARE CLEAR AND SHARP.I HAVE NO COMPLAINTS EXCELLENT TV

This TV is a steal. The picture is amazing. There are other TV's in the 85" range that are a little less $$ (maybe $300 less) but the tech in the screen, the processor, the back lighting and other things don't come close.

Bought a TCL '85 QLED but was not happy with it so I returned it and upgraded to this model. I immediately saw a difference in picture quality. I was told the mini leds make a difference and it does. Watching football on this tv was much better than the TCL. It might also be because of the 120 refresh rate compared to the 60. Much brighter picture especially when watching something in 4K. Crystal clear and not grainy. Even in action sequences. I watch a lot of cable and even though cable tv doesn't use 4K, the picture is still an improvement. We also got a sound bar with speakers that make my living room sound like an actual movie theater. Won't be looking for another TV for many years now.

We still are learning all the things this tv can do. Or room is a bright room with high a high ceiling. The picture j is crisp and clear from all viewing angles. The ability to quick change the video settings according to what you are watching is very nice. We will continue to find new things as the days go on, but we are enjoying the new TV.

first time buying a high end tv, usually we get cought up in what kkind of deal we can get. too a chance this tv is just amazing. one side note tho there was a few times where the picture would turn to solid colors. i hope that doesnt t urn into a issue

Bought the tv from Best Buy in Kohler. Got a great deal and the picture and sound quality is amazing. The magic wand remote is nice too.

The tv randomly flickers black then comes back on. It is very brief but not acceptable. I would recommended a different TV brand. I would give the TV zero stars if I could. Nobody at Best Buy seemed to know the difference between the 85 series and the 83 series. I will say the TV is bright though, so there is a positive note. T
