love how compact and light the drive is, and the cover is very durable fabric. the cover has straps that keep it from opening all the way after unzipping, so the contents don't come tumbling out, and there is a pocket that's big enough for the cable and a thumb drive. the drive itself is the size of two decks of playing cards side by side. it comes in different colors - I got blue so i could find it on my desk. i love my purchase. highly recommend.

I bought this device in order to place all my memories that I've experienced as we travel abroad. Go pro's and cameras fill up quick and I needed more and this passport was perfect for my needs. I'm truly happy.

I got two of these for backup purposes. I love the speed and how tiny they are - only slightly larger and thicker than a deck of cards. I keep important family photos, videos, etc. on these, and store one at home and one in a safe deposit box off-site. I then rotate them every couple of months. As a computer user since 1989, I'm still amazed that something this inexpensive, small, and fast will hold 3 TB - what a world.

Hard drive is portable and small. The internal size (3TB) and the physical size of the drive made me interested in purchasing. It does come pre-loaded with manufacturers software (back-up software), if you just want a blank raw drive simply delete, otherwise it's a great portable hard drive.

My ps4 was getting low on space. I decided on this hardrive because of the good reviews. Let me tell you, they were right! Small size drive with plenty of storage , it's quiet, fast, and usb powered. No external power cord! (Yay!) I'm very happy with this product!

I have purchased several of these because we take a lot of sports pictures. It’s a great way to keep your photos. Easy to use and the small size is great in regards to storage.Will probably purchase another one in the near figure.

Performs well. Like the style. Fast enough and roomy enough to meet my needs for an external hard drive, where I store most of my work. Like the mobility of an external drive, which can be shifted to another PC or laptop easily. Also, use a second one to back up this primary one.

Midrange level in storage. Compact in size, easily portable, although I wouldn't suggest treating these like your wallet :) Speed is decent for a 3.0. Still a bit high for 3 tb's though. These really should be going for $80 at this point.. Especially, with the RMA lottery these days. I've owned enough Seagate and WD externals to know you have a 60-65% chance of getting one, not DOA. Plus, factoring in the $20-30 shipping charge (always get signature on delivery, insurance), and the value of the reconditioned replacement, price should be a little lower. WD's fail rates are not too far behind Seagates at this point. But a lot of different factors (shipping/handling/QA) can affect those numbers. At least WD's turnaround time is far superior on RMA's. Currently waiting on an RMA as we speak, died in less than 1 hour of use and 100 gb's of data written.. But when you get one that works, it works. Piece of advice, register your device once you buy it (necessary for RMA's). Also, External drives will always have a shorter lifespan than Internals, even though all platters are susceptible to shock. If you own a Mobile Phone, you know exactly where I'm going with this lol.. So adjust expectations accordingly and handle with care. Keep those 2 things in mind to get the most from your drives and your money and you'll be fine.

One of the many ever evolving collection of external HD's to choose from at Best Buy, but the truth is this particular External HD seems to be faster than most when using with both my Mac as well as with my Dell systems. Extremely fast, affordable & full of preinstalled soft-ware to keep your precious DATA, photos and videos safe, rapidly retrievable and well organized. Over all I say this external HD is a more high efficiency type, when using most other external HD's on the market today, but even so this one is still reasonably priced and it does go on and off sale frequently. A very straight forward piece, and its easy to use, an extremely intuitive use process, no electric needs, no power source, USB plug-in and your done. They designed this device so a 7 year older can figure out how to use it successfully the first time, yep, thats how I like it!

Portable storage options continue to evolve and the Western Digital Passport External USB series does the same: higher density, more Terabytes per dollar with USB 3.0 speed. The backup tools are easy to use and you can create a password-protected volume. It does what it's supposed to do: easy to use terabytes of portable storage.

It to much to say on the hard drive other than it has a ton of storage and wasn’t crazy expensive. It has yet to crash on me and received the 200+ Gigs of data rather quickly.

Due to capacity this drive is awesome for back ups and photo storage. The speed is excellent. I bought it on sale so the price was far better than average.

Like the title says, if you need the space for your Xbox one, this is the one to get. It is slightly more than the others but worth the price. I just now barely put a dent in storage (65% free) and several large games installed. Playing them off there is quick and painless with virtually little to no lag in your gaming experience.

So far, this drive has met and surpassed my expectations. It is portable and small, plus it gets its power through the USB cable and not a separate transformer. It is USB 3.0 and it fast. I found that it works best hooked up directly to the laptop without using a hub or extension cable.

Not much to say. It does exactly what it says. Tons of storage and works quickly and quietly.

User friendly. Easy to connect to xbox system and gives ample storage for a great price
