Add a Matter-compatible hub to connect to a smart home ecosystem (Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa or Samsung SmartThings). Your home hub needs to double as a Thread Border Router OR you will need to have a separate Thread Border Router in addition to your home hub.
Some Matter hubs like the Apple HomePod mini, Google Nest Hub (2nd Gen) & Amazon Echo (4th Gen) can double as Thread Border Routers. Using other Matter compatible hubs (like the Google Home speaker or Google Home mini) may require an additional Thread Border Router. Our Nanoleaf Lines, Shapes & Elements (Firmware 8.5.2+) are able to act as Thread Border Routers. Make sure all your devices are up to date and on iOS/tvOS 16.5+ or Android OS 8.1+.
