A: Yes just insert it into usb and use install cd

A: No, This is a adapter to connect a computer that does not have built in wireless adapter, software will need to be installed when using this adapter, TV can not accept software to work with adapter. Most smart TV's have a USB port, it's used for photos to be displayed on TV, not for use with WiFi adapter.
Q: Is this compatible with OS like Kali Linux or Ubuntu or Parrot OS?
A: It works with Mint Linux 19.3. I haven't had luck with any others.
Q: Can I use this to convert my wifi signal to ethernet?
A: I was able to use this item instead of an ethernet cable. It easily connected wirelessly to my Internet.
Q: does this give you wifi or do you already have to have wifi in your home ?
A: This allows your device to to connect to existing wifi. This is not a extender.
A: No it can't. This adapter requires the installation of a driver that is Windows compatible only.
A: Might want to turn your cell phone into a hot spot, check with cell provider for rates and if they provide that service. Warning: If you have a cell provider and use it as a hot spot, be advised Data rates will apply if you go over you cell Data plan. If your laptop has a built-in wifi adapter, just turn on and find your cell hot spot and long in.
