Q: Will this work with Century Link phone DSL in Wytheville VA
A: I have Century Link and this has been working great. I have used this modem for about a month now. It also costs a lot less than buying a modem from Century Link!
Q: does it connect with telephone line?
A: The ADSL2+ Modem connects to the internet through your phone line, because the phone line is how the DSL internet connection is made. You connect the computer to the modem's network connections (wired or wireless) and then connect a phone line from the modem to the phone outlet on the wall. You may have to contact your Internet Service Provider so they can register the new modem on your line, if this is a replacement modem on an existing internet service.
Q: Will this work with AT&T Internet? And an Apple router?
A: Yep! It works perfect for me and i too an Apple Router...
Q: Can I connect with a phone type connector?
A: Yes the DSL is over the Phone line and this comes with the inline filter to split this signal on the phone Line.
Q: Will this modem work with windstream
A: I replace an old Windstream Modem, I was easy to install and function just as well.
Q: Will this modem work with a bonded pair Internet setup? (windstream)
A: Yes, this will work.
Q: Does this work with Verizon DSL?
A: Yes
Q: Do I have to have an active line in my home to use this with a router?
A: You will need to setup internet service with your telephone provider. So if AT&T covers your area you'd call AT&T to get internet service. AT&T will then activate internet on your phone line. This modem then allows you to access the internet provided by AT&T using your telephone line. However, the service provider (AT&T in this example) will send a technician to install their equipment as part of the internet service anyway. This modem would be for people who want to own their equipment rather than have AT&T equipment in their home. (Note: AT&T is just an example provider. Verizon is another example. There are other providers too.)
