Proudly American, Night Owl is excited to offer our U.S. designed and engineered 1080p HD Smart Doorbell with Human Detection Technology, Facial Capture, and 2-Way Audio. Human Detection reduces false alerts to your Smart Device, while Facial Capture takes a snapshot of a person’s face and sends you a real-time alert. 2-Way Audio lets you record sound and use the virtual intercom feature to hear what’s happening and to talk through the doorbell. The weather-resistant doorbell also has Night Vision up to 30 ft. and a 140° wide-angle view, providing extreme coverage for property. Plus, a wired connection delivers uninterrupted viewing and recording, giving you true around the clock protection.
Q: Will it work without connecting to the doorbell wiring … trying to use it with internal battery only
A: No, this Doorbell must be hard wired to your home's pre-existing wiring (as noted under "Specifications").
A: The Doorbell does not pair to the Smart Device. The same account can be viewed on multiple Smart Devices (for example, husband and wife can both log in to view their cameras at the same time using different devices).
A: Yes it is
Q: This item says it can use a micro sd card. What do I need to buy to use this feature?
A: Hi Paul. The doorbell can hold up to a 128GB microSD card. If used as a standalone with a Wi-Fi connection, the recordings can be stored on a microSD card. We sell a couple smaller options. Please view the link below. https://nightowlsp.com/a-32gbmsd.html
A: Yes. This combination works for me.
A: Hi Jay. It would depend on what model you have. Please view the link below for more information on compatibility. Additionally, the doorbell can be used as a standalone with a Wi-Fi connection (if it cannot be added to your recorder). As a standalone, you would view and access the doorbell from our free app. Thank you. https://support.nightowlsp.com/hc/en-us/articles/360039151573
Q: If you wired into the door of your apartment can it be hacked into easily?
A: It is connected to your wifi, so if you have that password protected, it shouldn't be easily hacked. And if someone did, there's not a lot they can really do with the camera. I'd be more concerned about access to your computer and devices.
