I was reading many reviews, looking at many options, and keep coming back to this one! I bought it about a month ago and have hardly been able to put it down. I love all the effects. The touch screen is very convenient. I love the wifi but do not leave it on when I am not using it. It will save your battery greatly to just turn it on when you want to use that feature. I bought a spare battery but the battery time is fabulous. I have only charged the original battery once so far. I love the tilt screen it is great for outdoor photography when you want to see it in a bigger version.

Upgraded from my d3 series to the d5 series and it was the best investment I've made, especially when it's equipped with the 18-200mm lens. The camera itself has a lot of cool features and when you add the lens, you can expand the features even further and take an incredible shot.

I replaced my D3100 with the D5500 the picture quality is superb. When I went on Safari last year my D3100 did a so so job with my nighttime photos. I recently too my D5500 out to take nighttime photos and they came out perfect. Also there built in wifi is a perfect option.

Although I havent had the opportunity to try out all of the bells and whistles yet, this camera is a ton of fun to play with and of course takes amazing oictures!

Camera lives up to its reputation. Excellent performance and the features make it easy to operate. Best viewfinder ever.

This Nikon Camera was bought as a Christmas gift to replace our D3000 it is a nice camera.

For a beginner learning to use DSLR camera, this is a really good one. The ability to transfer photos to my iphone instantly made it all the more better. I have enjoyed using this camera on several occasions both indoors and outside. The results have been awesome given I am just a beginner. I am enjoying it.

Get real familiar with it. See with this camera comes a lot of options.

Tough to beat this dx format DSLR. It would be even better if Nikon had image stabilization built into this camera.

Has been difficult in setting up the wifi - which was the selling point for me.

I returned this camera because it was not that much better than my existing one.

I went back and forth between canon and nikon and once I really compared I realized to get a Canon to do what this Nikon does is much more expensive. I love it, and it is super easy to use.

I need a new camera and did not want to buy new lens, after reading lots or Nikon camera reviews I choose this D5500. So far it take great shot at night. It has a video which I tested briefly & it looks & sound great.
