The D7200 is an advanced amateur/pro camera. Because it's so versatile it's also complicated - lots of buttons and menu items figure out. Once that's done it'll handle any situation. A true quality camera with a wide variety of accessories available.

It was time to step up to a more advanced DSLR! The Nikon D7200 DSLR is a great camera for the Intermediate to Advanced user who isn't ready to commit to the price of a full frame camera. The features, options, and capabilities with its 24.2 megapixels, Wi-Fi connectivity, and 100-25600 ISO makes it a great camera for my many interests (nature, wildlife, astronomy, casual). I have had this camera for two months and have shot over 2500 pictures. Each is not a masterpiece, but I have gotten some excellent images out of the lot that I consider art gallery worthy. For me, the camera is worth what I paid and will be a part of my DSLR kit for a long time to come!

I have owned the D3400 for several years and have been wanting to upgrade for awhile. So happy that I finally did. I love the upgraded features.

Got an awesome deal, was thinking to buy D7500 but when I did the comparison, both almost the same.

I moved up from a Canon Point and Shot to this Camera, based on recommendations from other Photographers. Love the crisp detail and fast Autofocus with good low light shots, I got the kit with two lenses that work very well for the average person needs.

My first legit camera. Have had it for about 8 months now and absolutely love it. I've gotten amazing pictures and the lenses it came with are amazing. Next purchase will be a wide angle lenses for it.

It's been awhile since I bought a new camera, I'm glad I waited. This camera is full of many features and fun to use. I thought my pictures of hummingbirds taken with my D70 were awesome; until now.

After decades of using full frame Nikons from the famous F series to most recently the D700, D810 and D750 I was looking for a compromise - quality images from a smaller form factor. I had used the Nikon D70s, D100 and D300 APS sensor equipped cameras so I knew Nikon could deliver. But would I be satisfied going back to an APS sensor equipped camera after using the full frame Nikons? I was not expecting impressive output from the D7200. Good, certainly. Just not great. After months of use and about 5,000 images later in my opinion it is not a full frame giant killer. However, it is very good and I'll be keeping mine. I think it is a great blend of technology and features that is easy to hold and use. Add the battery grip as I did I think it feels even easier to hold and use. It works with about any Nikkor lens you care to mount, I can even use my 1980s era 500mm mirror lens on this camera. Battery life is impressive and picture quality is good. I would keep this body over the newer D7500 and I don't need the larger buffer of the D500 and I seldom shoot video so this camera is just right for my current needs. If you're shopping for a good camera in this price range I think you should give it serious consideration. And the better the optics you use the better the image quality gets.

When looking to purchase a camera, my main concerns were low light capabilities, battery life, time-lapse capabilities, and cost. This camera exceeded all my expectations. - It handles higher ISO very well. I'm very big on night photography. I usually will set the camera on 3200 - 6400 ISO and this has done an amazing job at keeping noise levels down and preserving detail. - There is a built in intervalometer for time-lapse. Some limitations are that you can have a max of 30 second exposures. However, that should cover 99% of your scenarios. - Battery life is phenomenal! When taking normal everyday photos, I have gotten 2000+ images on one charge. When doing long exposures, battery life is cut down to 1/3 as it takes battery to hold the shutter open. You can expect to get 5-6 hours of a 30 second exposure time lapse. - Image quality is fantastic, and the burst of 6 photos a second is more than I need. -Not having the deep pockets for a full frame camera, this was a great alternative. It easily competes with full-frame! -Have taken more than 30,000 images in the short time I have owned the camera and not a single problem.

choosing between Nikon and Canon was like entering a Ford/Chevy war. Both had almost the same features, but the Nikon had a better rep for service and reliability. The tech support is free and the first online school is also free. Not being a fan of owners manuals I watched 3-4 hours of U tube video's most defaulted to Nikon. I purchased the d7200 kit ,took a shot of the super moon and was everything the reviews claimed. Also Nikon offers a version of Photoshop for free. I like this camera so much I purchased one for my daughter.

I currently owned the Nikon D7100. I decided to purchase the Nikon D7200 over the Nikon D7500 because of the dual memory card slots and the price. The reviews were excellent. It is Wi-Fi capable. It's not as fast as my Nikon D500 but it's a great 2nd camera to own. This camera is very easy to use and is rugged. I use it mainly for surf photography but also for family gatherings. It's an overall great camera. How can you complain over 2 lenses, a camera bag, free memory card and accessory kit. I purchased it online before Black Friday & received the same great price without the hassle of leaving my house. It was delivered to my home. Nikon is a very reliable brand that will last a long time. In fact, you will replace it because of better features & better technology but not because of poor performance.

Great camera without paying too much $. This camera is easy to use and produces great pictures. I really have not had this camera very long, so I'm not real familiar with all of the functions that this camera has to offer, but so far so good.

Wow, what a great camera. Excellent pictures. Only drawback or regret is that the WIFI link built in is garbage. The Wifi must connect to a device and not to your router, so if you want to connect to camera you must drop your connection to your network. What a dumb idea. NFC works with WiFi to turn on and off the connection. you are better off buying a remote for the camera than trying to use a smart phone.

I purchased this DSLR for my wife, who is a hobbyist photographer looking to get more serious. I did a great deal a research and found that the Nikon D7200 comes highly recommended and is highly rated. She was elated with the gift and will definitely be able to up her photography game from using the Nikon D5000.

This is my first DLSR camera. I spent too much time reading reviews and comparing different makes and models. This one went on sale, so I finally pulled the trigger. It is my first DLSR, so I may not know what I am missing in other models or brands, but so far, it is great. In the past, I've always used advanced point and shoot models so I am still getting used to the bulk and features of this camera. I still use point and shoots a lot, but when you have time to set up a photo, this one does a great job. As I use it more and more, I should be able to get faster with it. So far, it is great.
