Co-developed by Nikon and RED, the ZR pairs a 24.5MP partially-stacked full-frame sensor and EXPEED 7 processor with RED's renowned color science. It's the first camera to record the new 12-bit R3D NE RAW format, delivering 15+ stops of dynamic range and richly gradable footage.
Record internally up to 6K/60p and 4K/120p in your choice of R3D NE, Nikon N-RAW or ProRes RAW HQ, plus ProRes 422 HQ and H.265. Dual base ISO (800/6400) with Log3G10 and REDWideGamutRGB support delivers clean footage and flexible color grading in any lighting.
The ZR is the first camera to capture 32-bit float audio from both its built-in microphone and a 3.5mm input, so you can record clean sound without fussing over levels. Nokia OZO directional audio offers five pickup patterns for professional-quality in-camera sound.
At about 540g, the ZR packs cinema power into a remarkably compact, weather-sealed body that's ideal for gimbals, rigs and run-and-gun shooting. A bright 4-inch vari-angle DCI-P3 touchscreen, up to 7.5 stops of in-body stabilization and 9-subject autofocus keep shots sharp.
Built on Nikon's large Z mount, the ZR works with the full range of NIKKOR Z lenses and, via adapters, many others, giving filmmakers enormous creative flexibility. A digital accessory shoe, Frame.io Camera to Cloud support and focus-breathing compensation complete the toolkit.
