Works okay, but never got the pour amount mastered

I love the reliability and build quality of Ninja products, but i just didn't like the design of this waffle maker (pouring the batter in through the top). I couldn't seem to master the amount for my sourdough waffles. I seemed to either pour too little and get ugly waffles or pour too much and it would overflow the top as it cooked. It was also difficult to clean. I only used it a few times before giving it to a friend when a friend gave me a different kind for a gift, not realizing I already had a waffle maker. I liked the gift (a Cuisinart) so much better than this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
