Q: My grill says shut lid, but it is shut!
A: I had the same problem. There is a metal pin on the inside of the lid on the right side. This pin detects if the lid is shut. I cleaned the pin with some dish washing soap to remove grease and now the grill can tell when the lid is shut.
A: You use 2 different “hot plates” to Make those 2 foods. Even though you could combine them cook on griddle etc the fries wouldn’t turn out right. The hamburger grease would be in the fries. If you use the grill you couldn’t put many fries but if your only cooking fo one maybe could get by. But the fries are suppose to be cooked in the air fry basket.
Q: how do you keep food from sliding off the grill to the front???
A: Pressing the food down isn’t a solution especially when you must flip over what is being cooked. Bacon slides down into the grease pit. Too much of an angle Ninja designers! Get us a replacement grill insert that has less of an angle.
Q: I know this doesn’t come with thermometer but is it necessary?
A: No, I have the original without the thermometer and it’s never been a problem.
Q: Does the thermometer come with this grill
A: Unfortunately no. :( I don’t know how i feel about this new one yet… Also harder to wash.
