Werner Herzog's moody gothic horror is both a reworking of Murnau's 1922 vampire classic, "Nosferatu," and an adaptation of Bram Stoker's 1897 novel, "Dracula." Klaus Kinski delivers an eerie title turn as the bat-eared, undead count weary of his immortality, who, after trapping solicitor Jonathan Harker (Bruno Ganz) in his Transylvanian castle, travels to Germany, spreading plague in his wake, to claim Harker's beautiful wife (Isabelle Adjani) for himself.
