Been looking for a good addition to our theater room. Many drawbacks unfortunately. When the corn starts popping a ton of unpopped kernels fly out the kettle. There's no kettle vent so it can be difficult to clean. You can only do 1 batch at a time, and we eat a ton of popcorn, so this can be tedious. Unfortunately also have to preheat. The main pros I have are the light and the fact that the popcorn never seems to burn.

I already have a small cheap popcorn machine that works fine but I really liked the look of this old fashioned popcorn machine so I spent the extra money on it. Well, let's just say it's only good for decoration, although it looks like a plastic toy. Despite it being a large machine, it only makes a few cups of popcorn at a time. To get it to look like the picture you have to refill it a few times. It's also hard to get the kernels in because you have to reach in the box and the metal tin is really hot. It also needs a few minutes to warm up which is also inconvienet. It's hard to clean and kernels get stuck underneath the bottom plate. Overall it is a hassle and an inconvient way of making popcorn.

Has the nostalgia, but bought as a gift for a family member and I’m told too time consuming to use due to only holds a small amount. You’ll miss the movie trying to pop another batch. “ I don’t recommend” unless you’re planning on using it as a conversation piece only. Colors are fine to accent any game or movie area. Kids got a kick out of the very tiny size.
