A: The post and boot is very fast. I believe the way it is configured is the SSD is for the OS whereas anything other programs run off the HDD. You can of course add things to the SSD instead of the HDD if you chose.
Q: I was wondering about the 1T HDD + 128GB SSD. Is that a 1TB hard drive with a separate SSD?
A: The hard drive and solid state drive are separate units. The HDD is on a SATA interface and the SSD is on an M.2 interface.
Q: Is this computer good for making videos
A: Very good. I edit lots of video on it. Works great.
Q: Can i get the same laptop with additional 8GB of ram.
A: This model has 2 RAM slots and comes with 1 8GB RAM stick the second slot is open and a second 8GB RAM stick can be easily added. Any size RAM stick can be used as long as it is DDR4 SDRAM.
Q: How good this lapton can run Oculust VR?
A: It actually can run VR on the 1050ti , although 1060 is recommended . A couple hiccups but definitely will run adequately
Q: Do you have to remove the keyboard to access the hard drive or are there access doors on the bottom?
A: There are 10 screws that hold the bottom cover of the laptop on. Upon removing them, you have access to all user-serviceable parts and upgrade areas.
A: It comes with a dedicated GTX 1050ti video card. The CPU has its own integrated GPU, but this would classify as a laptop with a dedicated GPU.
