The Ortur R1 1.3W infrared (1064nm) laser engraver brings true metal marking to an ultra-portable, foldable machine. The 1064nm IR wavelength marks gold, silver, platinum, copper, stainless steel and coated metals — materials standard blue diode lasers can't engrave — making it ideal for jewelry, tools, dog tags and personalized metal gifts within a 100 x 80mm work area. Weighing just 2.4kg (about 5.3 lb), the R1 unfolds and runs in seconds with no assembly. Create from your phone using the free Ortur app — built-in editor, design library, 19+ fonts and multi-language support — or use LightBurn and LaserGRBL. As a Class 1 laser product it needs no goggles and includes a watchdog, USB safety key, auto-shutdown, exposure-time limit, tilt detection and lid-stop, with CE, RoHS and EPEAT Silver certification. The 1.3W IR module is interchangeable with the Ortur R2, and adding a 5W blue module lets the R1 engrave wood, leather and acrylic too.
