The Nero HTX4150 is a 4-channel Class D power amplifier rated at 175W per channel into 4 ohms and 100W per channel into 8 ohms with all channels driven, not the single-channel figures most competitors publish. Adjacent channels can be bridged to produce 2 x 400W into 8 ohms, or 1 x 400W plus 2 x 175W, so a single chassis handles several system layouts. Two bridged channels can also serve as a subwoofer amplifier with frequency crossover and level control. A 105dB A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio at rated power gives the amplifier exceptional dynamic range, and 10Hz to 30kHz frequency response covers the full audible band with margin at both ends. Fan-assisted cooling keeps the chassis running cool in confined spaces such as an equipment rack or credenza, while a switching power supply rejects RF interference from nearby electronics.
