OtterBox - Commuter Series Hard Shell for Samsung Galaxy S26 - Black

So when I purchased the new Galaxy s26 I ended up going with the clear coat spectrum protection kit that they sold inside their store. Previously when I had a Galaxy Samsung s22 ultra I did own a otterbox but I thought I would switch and try something new. Needless to say without bashing another company's product too hard that the spectrum protection kit did not live up to its durability claims. So after having to replace the outer shell of the protection kit I just chose to go back to a OtterBox protection instead which this is my first time buying only the commuter package from OtterBox but after a few drops with the OtterBox on my phone you can't even tell. I mean to be honest you can't even tell that the outer layer has even touched the ground and that's the durability that I was missing that only OtterBox clearly can provide.

Slim compared to other OtterBox cases. Nice grip and texture.

I've been using the commuter case for every phone since it was offered on the market. The only difference I see is the raised lip and camera cutout. The lip should be slightly taller to actually protect the camera lenses. It was taller for the s24. When paired with lense protectors, the typical ones can't be used. I had to get the individual lense covers and barely fit the cut out. Unfortunately, they are a hair taller than the protective lip around the cut out. It would appear that the defender case may have a better design for this feature

Overall a good cover. My one grape is that the upper right corner tends to pop off periodically, probably because of the camera lenses getting stressed on the back side. It might not be the absolute best case for protecting your phone, but it's one of the best compromises out there between total protection and functional use.
