This case fits snugly and looks great, but only gave it 4 stars because I don't like that I have to take part of the case off to use the kick stand on the Surface. It's pretty annoying, i just stopped using it. The pend doesn't stay on the side very well either, when the case is on. Think I'll get the UGG case instead. I have an UGG case on my Surface 3 and it works great.

Probably one of the few cases on the market that actually work good for protecting and functional for the device. My guys are engineers and needed something solid. With a keyboard this thing fits pretty snug and protects the surface while closed. Stupid expensive tho, a bit ridiculous on price

4 months into owning my Surface Pro 2017 (as of this writing) and I STILL can't find a good case. I'm still waiting for manufacturers to get their acts together and release revised Pro 4 cases out but no luck. So I tried the Otter because (I'm desperate!) and I wanted a clear case that won't hide the beauty of the Surface Pro. The Otter looks great and I'm sure it does an excellent job of protecting the Pro but I don't care for the wonky kickstand design - you have to pry the kickstand part of the case from the Pro to use the kickstand and even then the case doesn't stay attached to the kickstand (see attached pic.) I don't like the keyboard part of the case, either - in the pics here at BestBuy you can see the keyboard is the older, plastic model - that probably fit in the keyboard part of the case better - my new 2017 keyboard with the cloth/felt material started to crinkle up as I slid it into the case so I stopped and wouldn't have used it. There is absolutely no way I'd pay $99.99 for this case and even at the Black Friday sale of $59.99 I'm returning it. Hey manufacturers, I realize this is a weird device to make a case for and Microsoft tweaks the design in every model, but I'll get a cheap $20 case until somebody makes a good one. (Attached pic shows how the kickstand, when used, won't stay attached to the case.)

I have had Otterbox covers fro other products and they work very well as advertised to prevent damage. However I do find that plugging or removing usb connections are not that convenient. Overall the product works as expected, though it is heavier than expected.

I love OB products! This case fits great, and I have ultimate protection against any drops that may happen. I love the fact it allows me to still use the kickstand of my surface pro.. I would buy this again!

The otter box is an a great protection cover. The biggest issue is it is heavy and bulky which is a turnoff trade for protection. Worth getting.

this case protects the tablet and keyboard 100%. only problem is there is not enough magnetic field for the pen to stick onto the tablet nor is there a pen holder on the case like other cases, otterbox missed the mark with that. my other issue is the kick stand is hard to use but that is not a deal breaker for me.

Fits snuggly on my surface. Does add weight, but will trade that off for protection of my device. Pen will still 'stick' to the sides, but does fall off more easily, and almost always will when using the kickstand. Still like the look of the case, and like that every part of the Surface is protected. Positives far outweigh any negatives that I would have.

I like the otter box because it is a trusted name and comes with a cover for the keyboard. Good thing since the keyboard is so expensive. I noticed the keyboard cover helps stiffen the keyboard as well. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is because when the kickstand on the surface is opened, there is no protection for the bottom of the surface. I’m sure otter box can come up with a better idea.

Great case for traveling anywhere. A little heavy but worth it for protection.

After using this case for more than three months, I can guaranty you this case is a perfect, snug fit for your Surface Pro 4 1TB! I was going to go for a UAG Case, but went the other way when I found out the kick stand has less positions. When put on your device, it doesn't add much "bulk" to your surface. I fell that if I ever would drop my tablet PC, I can rely on this case to keep it safe. I fell confident to know that this case is certified drop+ protection. The manufacture does 24+ tests and over 238+ hours of testing to make sure it will surpass any accidents you may encounter. This case has more than enough ventilation holes in the case to keep the PC cool. I love that my pen will still hold in place with the built in magnet on the side of a Surface Pro 4. I love the fact that the case is light grey/ clear. It helps you still see the beauty in the device even when it is covered! I also enjoy the freedom of being able to protect my Surface and still use the built in multi position kick stand. You can even keep the case on a still dock your device! I still have to get a keyboard to try out the keyboard protector, but I know it will work good since one of my friends has one and it works perfectly! All the ports are still accessible and work perfectly. Some people may complain about the price, but make sure you always check local competitor stores for Price matching! If you don't price match, your not really shopping :)

Unfortunately, there is not an option for 4.5 stars... I debated whether to give this a 4 or 5 start rating.... for the simple reason that the button used to turn the device on and off does not always align properly. It is not a big deal... However, the device, including the keyboard, are great to use, lightweight, and it seems to protect the device pretty good.

I do a lot of traveling and need to protect my Surface Pro. The OtterBox does just that. It fits well around the device and allows for easy use. If you travel and need your tablet this is a must have!

This case is my favorite because it fits perfectly but doesn't add bulk. You have access to the entire screen plus the keyboard with the protection that companies like Otterbox can give. Definitely recommend!!

I got this case to protect my Surface Pro 4 (after all, it is an investment). It's sturdy and durable and will get the job done in making sure the computer stays pristine. My only complaint is the case on the back encloses the kickstand and to get it out takes a bit of work. It's a slight thing, but the enclosure works to protect the Surface completely. A very very slim trade off and is the only reason why I gave this 4/5. If using the kickstand with the case were a bit easier, I'd give it a 5. You really won't be disappointed with this case though.

I bought this case because the Surface Pro I have at work came with it. I find it hard to put on and take off the Surface, but it is a good case to have if you plan on walking around carrying your Surface at work, school, etc.

After reading other reviews about the various cases/ covers I decided to go with this one due to being the only one with some sort of protection for the keyboard as well. True as stated by others the magnetic capabilities are reduced due to the case for the pen. This would be a better case if it had a clip for the pen. Also it does take a bit of getting used to using the kickstand because the case does lock on pretty well on all the corners.

Love the durable feel this OtterBox adds to my new Microsoft Surface Pro 4! It gives the Surface a solid feel for both the main unit and the Type Cover but doesn't add a lot of weight or bulk and keeps all the ports easy to get to.

This a great and wonderful case but when you close the adjustable stand you have to snap into place but unsnapping it is a Pain in the $#@* plus there is no stylus holder. You have to use the magnet and that doesn't stay on very good only half the magnet is used . With the exception of being over priced and the minor flaws its a nice case .

The case is great for protection all around the tablet, i especially like the fact that it has a hard plastic portion that goes over the keyboard for added protection over the screen. The only draw back to this case is that it make it hard to flip out the kickstand if you are using it on a desk or table because of how it latches onto the device. Not a huge deal but worth knowing.
