The lamp is bright with 1 bulb. Super bright with 2 bulbs. Surprised that bulbs do get hot. Think with adjustment/location of lamp, heat won't be issue. I have lamp next to recliner. Bonus for BEST BUY. Purchased online and was delivered to store 4 days earlier than expected.

You can use both bulbs at the same time (which makes it super bright) or use each bulb separately. It can be bent towards the floor or the ceiling. It also swivels. It is very useful and best of all doesn’t get super hot.

Works GREAT- can have either side or both on for more light. My Mom uses it for crafts.
