I have owned the required base system for this add-on phone for sometime. It is a perfect home phone. It has everything you could ever want in a home phone built right in. So no need for a separate caller I.D. box or answering machine. It also has cool features like speakerphone and page. Which allows you to page any other phone in the house. What is really cool about this phone is that it speaks the name of the caller when someone calls. So yo do not have to go to the phone to see who is calling. You can also access the answering machine on the separate base unit right from this ad-on phone. So no need to travel to the room that has the base unit and answering machine. If you do not own the base unit, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! It needs the base unit to work. This phone is for those who own the base unit and want to add another phone in a different room. Great phone with amazing quality. Even has a auto E.Q so calls are crisp and clear.

I needed another extension for my Panasonic KXTG4132 phone system. Once I had it charged (which does take seven hours) all I had to do was press the correct button and it was linked up to the system - just what I needed.

Buy one and you will see what I mean. I really like Panasonic phones. Been buying them for years. Always lasted until i decided I wanted a new phone.
