My living room entertainment center PC hard drive locked up, and after 10 years, it was time for replacement. This HP machine is a smaller tower, is gently priced and setup was straight forward and relatively painless. At only 4 gb, memory is low and has already maxed out, but storage at 1 tb is good for our needs. My first step will be to examine the processor for an appropriately matched memory upgrade.

I have bought two of these because they are a good overall value and are amazingly fast once you replace the hard drive with a proper SSD. It is quite light and fairly compact. A modern Core i3 and 4GB RAM is plenty for anyone who isn't running heavy applications like video editors or editing huge image files. The only downside is that it is powered by a laptop AC adapter and has no plate to install a normal power supply, so you won't be upgrading this case with a new motherboard in the future and expansion options are limited. Most people will not ever care since they won't run into this, but for the nerds out there, now you know.

Bought this HP tower on sale for $299. Excellent tower for the price. Intel I3 CPU is more than powerful enough for the average user like myself (reading email, surfing the net, some word processing, no game playing). The one terabyte hard drive is more than adequate storage for me. Setup was quick and easy, it is smaller than my previous HP tower (hard drive died, which was reason for getting this one--paying for a new hard drive and labor to replace it would have cost more than this new tower), and it is very quiet. Has a VGA out port in addition to HDMI out port, which saves us old guys still using our VGA monitors from having to buy an HDMI to VGA converter. Lastly, for those who don't like the Windows 10 interface (me), an easy fix is to download Start10 from Stardock Software (Stardock.com) for $4.99. It makes Windows 10 look like Windows 7, but you are still running Windows 10 "under the hood," and you can hit the Windows key on the keyboard to get the Windows 10 interface back anytime you want, and toggle back and forth. In my opinion, this HP tower is an excellent desktop for a very good price.

The old one was about 7 yrs running and finally died. With the prospect of a costly transfer, I bought a new CPU, and it has performed as expected. Good speed; good reliability.

Purchased PC for my parents as a replacement to bring them up to date with OS and Office products. They love the speed and ease of use. Certainly a great value in terms of storage and RAM capacities. Sleek design and multiple USB ports for connecting various devices they use. Great PC!

I3 is only 2 core but still fast. Only 4 gb ram to me is only basic for wi 10. I had to add 4 more gb ram stick to get 8 gb to me is run good and do most basic Facebook and FarmVille online. The power supply in little low to update and add other things later like video cards. It dose have m.2 port so you could free up your 1 tb hd just for data and m.2 ssd to start on if you add it. I can not as all bad because 2 usb3 1 c type but only 2 sata inside case. The wifi b/g/n/ac it good later may need update but works for now. To me we only pay $330 so still little over price but will work for what you may need to do if you need a gamer or video edit do not buy.

I have always purchased HP computers as they are reliable and last. This HP Pavillion Desktop meets my needs and was very easy to setup myself. The 4 GB of memory and 1 TB hard drive gives me the power, fastness and space that will be more than ample for my needs.

Easy setup and computer is very fast. Excellent WiFi connection. Software preloaded. Good helpful people at Best buy. Excellent followup by customer service. Will make a very, very, very good Christmas gift for a student or small business owner.

We decided to go back to a desktop, in addition to iPads. This model has an excellent amount of memory and looks good. I wish it had USB ports on the front rather than the rear but this is a small issue. I'm happy with this computer.

It took me less than 15 minutes to hook up, very easy set up procedures, it walks you through set up step by step. Windows 10 is amazing and this computer is a lot faster than my old one I bought in 2000. You can't go wrong with this for home use.

This Core i3 machine is not terribly speedy, but works pretty well for most purposes such as email, shopping, light duty streaming (Netflix for example), but is a bit slow to boot and there are some delays when starting Web applications and browsers. I did find the speed increased a bit when the "free" virus protections preinstalled on the computer expired and I removed it, returning to Windows Defender. It came with adequate memory and features, including a USB C port, although a couple more USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports would be nice. The built in WiFi & and Bluetooth were welcome as was the HDMI port. Hard drive is adequate, especially since I keep most data on an external drive. There is no SATA available for an extra internal drive, BUT there are TWO slots for solid state drives (yea)! This is not a gaming machine to say the least, but it is adequate for most business and personal use and the price was unbelievable good.

PC does what I need it to, seems pretty fast and storage is more than adequate. Wish it came with Microsoft office, but can be purchased separately.

This desktop computer is compact and meets my needs as a personal computer. It is fast and has more than adequate memory. It was a replacement for an older Pavilion that crashed, i.e. would not boot. The computer came with McAfee security preinstalled. We are long-time subscribers to Norton security and installed it on this new computer. This became a problem when installing devices, i.e. multiple firewalls. I spent days trying to install our HP Officejet 5740 multifunction printer and after many hours figured out that a firewall we weren't familiar with prevented the installation. Disabling that firewall allowed the installation. Stuff like this is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Devices that worked seamlessly on the old Pavilion were a devil to reinstall on the new one.

A computer at work crashed so I had to replace it. Purchased this computer to perform some of the usual office tasks. It has performed well for us although do not like Windows 10 environment at all. It readily accepted new software such as Abobe 2017, Microsoft Office, and WordPerfect. It operates quickly and has accepted the file downloads quickly.

Bought this HP Pavilion desktop on sale when hard drive died on previous desktop. Has been very reliable; the Intel Core i3 is plenty powerful and fast for my Average Joe computing needs: web surfing, reading email, and light word processing. Recently added 4 GB RAM myself for $31.95; was easy to do. Recommend!
